I visit the Scholastic site every now and then, and came across...this. If you want to see ol' Pete going on a clue hunt and talking to a shaky camera in different accents, please click here. There are a couple of his videos under the tabs on the right.

He is strange! He's much younger than I expected, too.

So I work in the children's room at the library, and last week, I was going through the new books we had and removing any that weren't "new" anymore, so they could be shelved with the regular books. One happened to be Lerangis's book in The 39 Clues series. Curious, I flipped through it. And when I saw "CRASH!" and "AUGH!" I though "Yeah...he's still got it." LOL

Well that certainly was..special. At least the videos are more entertaining than the one of Anne going on and on about sewing.

He reminds me of R.L. Stine, who also looks like a lunatic.

Ok, so aside from the library, my other job is at a bookstore. And guess who's coming to do a book signing next month? Three of the authors from the 39 Clues series, and AUGH! One is Peter Lerangis! Obviously, I think they'll only be signing 39 Clues books, but wouldn't it be funny if I brought my copy of BSC in the USA?

^ You totally should. Or, Dawn and the Big Sleepover. That's P.L.'s first BSC book.

I'd bring Dawn and the Big Sleepover, but the cover's falling off I would look like the biggest nerd on earth if I brought a BSC book. And probably get a lot of "Wait...the BSC was GHOSTWRITTEN!?!?!?" from coworkers hahahahah.
