So... in the American versions of the books, we all know that Mary Anne is obsessed with New York. What city is she obsessed with in other versions?

In Hebrew if memory serves me right, she's obsessed with New York.

In Dutch she is obsessed with Amsterdam  just as everything that is New York in the American series is Amsterdam in the Dutch series. Which was really ridiculous since noone in Holland is "obsessed" with Amsterdam (except maybe people who live there so in Stacey it wasn't too weird - however, the 'more sophisticated' thing also really doesn't go) I lived pretty far away from Amsterdam (in Dutch standards) but neither I nor anyone I knew went all "ZOMG! AMSTERDAM" when going there for a day trip or so. |

Awwwww I feel so flattered that people remember me hahaha I know I've been MIA for a loooong time but I've been crazy busy - I actually spent a year in the US last year (finally made it to NYC and got very Mary Anne-excited about it  ) unfortunately I only managed to find TWO BSC books in all that time where do you guys hide them? |

I think in the Quebec-French version Mary Anne is obsessed over Toronto. Since the series took place in Canada and they made Stacey came from Toronto.
