I always thought SMS had cute names for their school dances. My favorites were the Remember September and the Lion to Lamb 7th Grade Jam dances. They also had the Winter Wonderland Dance, multiple Halloween Hops, and a generically titled Valentine's Dance. I haven't read all the books, so my question is do they have other dances with specific names? If so, what are they called?

There was a Spring Fling, and of course the Haunted Masquerade, which is exactly the same as the Halloween Hop except it has a different name and is basically cursed.

I assumed all US schools had these! I don't think my school's were terribly creative with names...we had, like, the back to school dance, valentines dance, homecoming and prom. Oh, and Sadie Hawkins (where the girls ask the guys) and Winter Ball (it's held during*duh*the winter!lol). Pretty boring. But my friend's HS had King of Hearts, which was a Valentine's dance where everyone wore reds and pinks and king and queen were crown. It was really cute! I think it varies from school to school, though. But in my experience, school dances aren't really themed, or if they are, they usually flop.

Yeah, same for my middle school: back to school dance, valentine's dance, etc. I always liked the creative names in the books and named my Barbies' dances after them Oh, and wasn't there a "Fifties Fling" in Logan Likes Mary Anne that he invites her to at the end?

I always though the names were cute as well. At my middle school they weren't creative at all. We just had generic names like, Halloween, Holiday, Spring .
