Zoar3's timeline kick has gotten me thinking and I didn't want to hijack her threads with my own questions, so...
What do you guys think the average time span for the BSC books was? I was thinking most of them covered about a month of their lives. What do you think were the books with the longest or shortest times covered? I don't know about longest, but for shortest I'll say Snowbound. I think technically it covered a week or more, but the majority of the book was in about 36 hours.

Not sure about hte shortest regular BSC book, but Karen's Worst DAy lasted less than 24 hours. Longest... I'm not sure. I know some books lasted at least a month. (Goodbye Stacey, Goodbye). I'm guessing Welcome Back STacey was also a month or so. Yeah I dont know

Lol, Sparklymouse! Feel free to "hijack" away. In fact, you and anyone else, is more than welcome to help me with this. Yes, lol, I'd love the help but it'd definitely be more enjoyable for me and also get other's pov..Maybe someone could even compile the whole thing when it was done. The timeline was/is a crazy attempt of mine to once and for all get a better sense (if that's possible and ) of just when the time warp began and yeah I admit to being curious to "see" they truly were in 8th grade for 14? (or was it 13)? years. Lol, you'd think Claudia would have mastered it by then. Also, this might be hijacking your thread, if so I truly apologize, this thought occurred to me last night, what if, "one year" one of the girl's actually realized, "Wasn't I already 13?" Just in case anyone is interested: www.timeanddate.com/calendar/?year=1987&country=1 You can put in any year. 'Night all,

Claudia and the Bad Joke started before she got her cast on... did it end after her cast came off? If so, then the book covered more than six weeks. And did Everything Changes cover an entire summer?

Claudia and the Bad Joke covered 3 months. Yes, she did get her cast off at the end. Everything Changes (I think) started right after the Fire the first diary entry says June 25th and the final one August 1st.

I have a timeline question myself: Does anyone know if the Friends Forever series covered the BSC's 12th and 13th (final) years of 8th grade, so a 2 year period. I am trying to get a sense of where to initially mark off years of 8th grade! I went through list of regular titles and thought I counted 11 years of 8th grade but lol wanted to be sure.

I have a timeline question myself: Does anyone know if the Friends Forever series covered the BSC's 12th and 13th (final) years of 8th grade, so a 2 year period FF timeline isn't perfect. There's two summer books that don't mention high school, then graduation day happens. Most books cover about a month.

Thank you, Otempora541.
One other other question: When does Baby-sitters' Winter Vacation take place? I mean I swear that somewhere I read (unless this was their SM at Shadow Lake) that the girls got time off from school for two weeks in either Jan or Feb around President's Day. Does that sound familiar at all?

I was thinking WV took place in December? I'm not sure..it could have been January or February. I know the Shadow Lake SM was late November, early December. Kristy mentions in her first chapter how Thanksgiving is over and the holidays are around the corner.

Isn't Winter Wonderland notorious for throwing off the timeline though? Like, the books before don't really talk about winter (or any concrete timeline?)

^ it is. So is Logan's Story! Does anyone know when track season is? Coach Leavitt (SMS Track Coach) says he will see everyone who did not make the cut this time in the Spring. Unless he meant the next spring of 8th grade, I'm taking this story was set maybe in November-mid Football season.
