Abby is defined by her allergies. But I got to thinking: if Abby is allergic to as many things as she says she is, that does she eat on a pizza (I think she's lactose intolerant and isn't she allergic to tomatos?)?
In fact, what are her allergies? I know pollen, dust, shellfish, are pretty consistant. Does she have any other allergies that are consistant through the canon?

In Welcome to the BSC, Abby, the Stevensons are going to order pizza and Anna wants two pies, because "[Abby] is allergic to everything I like." Abby says "not garlic!"
I think she's allergic to dogs and kitty litter, but not cats.

i'm not sure where to ask this (this thread seems like a good place), but is it even possible for identical twins with identical genes to be allergic to different things? this has bothered me since childhood :]

^I found this online: In Australia, the Australian National Health and Medical Research Council Twin Registry studied 3808 pairs of fraternal and identical twins. The twins were of all ages, from children to adults, and were being observed for asthma, wheezing and hay fever. The results were similar to the last study; 65 percent of the identical twins shared allergies whereas only 25 percent of the fraternal twins shared allergies. That's just a snippet of a long article I found here: serendip.brynmawr.edu/biology/b103/f03/web3/m1teicher.html

I don't really think that Abby is defined by her allergies....I always think of her sense of humor and athletic abilities first.

^I always think of her big hair because it was such a non-issue with her. I am capable of having very big hair and it was annoying to constantly read about the fugliness of Mallory's big hair.

I think of her big hair too! My hair can get pretty big too, and it's like Abby's -- dark and curly. I liked reading about her hair

LOL I never realized I kind of assume posters resemble their avatars to a point. I feel I should inform everyone that I do not look like a hideous UK cover illustration!

I hope I don't look like feather earrings. I have Abby hair too! Big, dark and curly. That was my favorite part about her as far as I was concerned. ;D

I feel I should inform everyone that I do not look like a hideous UK cover illustration! lila, i would never assume anybody looked like that :] for me, abby is defined by how much older she seems. she's more laid back, less concerned with following all of kristy's rules, etc. she doesn't make fitting in a big priority, and i love that about her. the allergies honestly were an afterthought for me.
