^Someone posted earlier in the thread about a Canadian study that found left-handed people were more likely to be homosexual... but I don't know about most gay people... can you remember what the source for that was? I'm left-handed, but I'm bi, not gay. So maybe I should actually be ambidextrous? BuckinghamAlice, it's funny that you mentioned Bart Simpson, because just the other day I was reading online about how Matt Groening is left-handed so a lot of Simpsons characters are, too (remember Ned Flanders and the Leftorium?), so that was also the first thing I thought about when I noticed this thread!

^I think it would be pretty easy to slip into her regular description. Like "Kristy is a leftie, and boy does she fit the description of a south-paw. Blah, blah blah..." I googled characteristics of Left-handers and found this. Kristy is a pretty stereo-typical leftie. I wonder if that was intentional. i checked google images, and all the pictures show reagan holding the pen in his right hand, and wikipedia says he was maybe ambidextrous, but they do suggest the possibility that he was originally left handed and was forced to switch because of his teachers.

Sorry, I don't have the source. I can't even clarify if the statement is actually true. I've just heard that statistically speaking, most gay people are left handed although that COULD be a myth. MAYBE this was spawned because left handed people were seen in a negative light by Catholics (i.e. tying kid's hands behind their back and forcing them to write with their right hand).

I don't know why there would be any connection! And of the lefties I know all but one are straight (and she's bi.) Unless any of the other handful of gay people I know are lefties and I never noticed.

I'm not surprised that Kristy would be a lefty, like many people have said, that most leftys have great ideas and creativey and Kristy always has great ideas. I'm a lefty too so I should know.

I'm left handed. I'm straight. So, technically not all left handed people are gay or bi. I think it's myth.
