Seems like it's a pretty popular stand alone name, but it's a possibility...we do have all those Johns, after all.

^Hehe, that would be funny! Truthfully, I've never heard of Lisa being a nickname for Elizabeth, but maybe that's just me! As for Watson's will - I completely agree that Watson would consider all of this kids as his own. There's the pin incident that someone else mentioned, and in SS#8 when he refers to Kristy as his daughter and she's all excited about it (which was very sweet). He "adopts" the Thomas kids as his own very early on, which I thought was pretty awesome of him.

I think the real question here is what share do the BSC members get? They go on all the vacations, so aren't they part of the family too?

^Elizabeth can also be spelled Elisabeth, which is where I assume the Lisa nickname comes from. Kinda off topic, but I hate when parents name their kid one thing when they intend to call them something else entirely.

I think of Watson as the type of guy who would be on top of things when it comes to his will. At the very least, he would've updated his will after his heart attack.

i was thinking about this thread today. my family adopted last year and they are just now getting around to rewriting their wills. watson seems like the type to have his stuff together, so he probably wrote emily into his will as soon as he could. but it's funny to think that charlie will be broke in college and trying to survive on ramen noodles, while emily gets a fat bundle of cash that will just sit in her savings account until she's old enough.
as a condition in my dad's new will, if he and my stepmom BOTH die, my baby sister will become my reponsibility. my dad has no family who could do it -- my grandmother is sick and my uncle is in jail a lot. so at 20 (almost 21) i have to be ready to raise a baby. it's terrifying, but it made me wonder what would happen to the kids if watson and elizabeth both died. the engles would take karen and andrew, and i know nannie would probably take care of DM and emily. but nannie has to be in her 70s, so she won't be around forever. would charlie become legal gaurdian to the little ones? or would lisa and seth do something REALLY REALLY nice and take emily and DM too? i don't know. i'm in a pensive mood tonight.

^ I haven't given this any thought before but maybe Nanny will take care of Sam and Kristy as well as taking care of David Michael and Emily Michelle while Charlie is in college (assuming that Watson and Elizabeth die when Charlie's 18) and that Charlie will be their legal guardian if Nanny dies before his siblings turn 18.
