Who do you think would choose adoption, either instead of biological kids or in addition to?

My first choice is Dawn. I think she would be so grossed out by the world’s over-population that she would refuse to add to it.
Second choice is Kristy, just because she saw the joy Emily Michelle brought to Nannie her parents.

I see Dawn as being a super-crunchy-granola Mom, all about extended breastfeeding and homebirthing and stuff.
I voted for Kristy and Abby, in part because I think they would be more willing to be single moms (this has nothing to do with sexual orientation; just their general personalities). Also, I feel like Kristy would be kind of grossed out by the idea of pregnancy and childbirth.

I voted for Kristy and Mary Anne...I think they'd want to be all about giving homes to less fortunate children. Mary Anne might want to have her own children though too.

My first choice is Kristy. I see her adopting partly because her family adopted Emily Michelle and because of the difficulty she, Elizabeth and her brothers went through, trying to survive after Patrick ran out on them and that she doesn't want anyone else to experience it or something similar.
I could see Dawn, Mary Anne and Abby adopting as well.

Kristy, and since there is many Stacey-can't-have-kids-because-of-her-diabeties storylines.(which I think is kinda wacked) I'll say her as well.

^Have they actually said in the books that Stacey can't have kids? Which one(s)?
I voted for Kristy, no question. In Graduation Day, Kristy says she wants to have lots of kids but probably doesn't want to get married, and she's psyched when Stacey tells her she can do just that. I definitely see Kristy choosing adoption over artificial insemination.

Yes it was in fanfics, but I doubt it true though.

Kristy, I guess because alot of people who have been adopted, or have adopted siblings are more likely to choose adoption.
And Dawn, kinda because of her ideals... Lol.

I can see Stacey being trendy and adopting an African baby. Didn't her mom have fertility issues or am I imagining that? I thought there was a reason Stacey was an only child. She could have the same issues as her mother.

^From #33 Claudia and the Great Search:
So that's a good point. Stacey is probably the most likely candidate for fertility issues. I think Stacey would want to have kids, and if she couldn't conceive, I do think she would adopt.
(It scares me how quickly I can think of and find references.)

I see Dawn as being a super-crunchy-granola Mom, all about extended breastfeeding and homebirthing and stuff. ^ I could totally see her breastfeeding in public and glaring at people who look at her funny. I'll go with Claudia just on account of seeing how she was towards Lynn, someone else' baby. I know that Lynn was her cousin and all.

I remember in some Stacey books, Stacey narrated that her parents couldn't have any more kids.

They couldn't. What was sort of odd to me was Stacey always said that her parents had just found out that news at the time she was diagnosed with diabetes. Stacey was 11 at the time. Yes, it is truly possible the McGills had indeed been trying for a second child ever since Stacey was born, or even a few years later. I meant the wording always read to me as though it was a recent thing. (For Maureen to become pregnant again). Did anyone else think that? That leads me to wodnering why they never adopted or if--and this might be thinking way too much about these characters--if a second child was a way of trying to "save" their marriage.
