Mallory. Duh.
Mary Anne, just because she isn’t one of the more active club members. She also has a pretty structured routine with Richard and might not adjust well to the dorm life of takeout food at 2 AM.

I voted for Claudia--that might be right about when her metabolism catches up with her, and without the Kishis feeding her meals, I feel like she would eat only junk food all the time.
I'm guessing Dawn will go to a hippie place, but if not, she might, just because a lot of schools still don't have great vegetarian options.

I can see it happening for Claudia, definitely. ITA that she would only eat junk food once she's away from her parents.

I voted for Abby. I can see her drinking a lot in her first year of college, and probably eating pretty unhealthily. Even if she keeps up with athletics, I can see her packing on a few pounds.

This is too funny! I've never heard of it before, except Elizabeth in SVU.
I voted for MA, cause I think she'll have trouble being away from home, and Mallory, although I almost went for Claud. I don't know why for Mal though, lol.

I can see Claudia and Abby being big drinkers and packing on a few pounds. Mallory probably will on food and aversion to exercise alone, and if she starts drinking to try to fit in she is really screwed.

I voted for Claudia because I figure by when she enters college, she won't have that fast metabolism and gain weight since she'll eat too much junk food.

Probably almost all of them. But they wouldn't fret too much about it since they'll be too busy planning their careers and meeting new friends.
I have Kristy meet Girl Talk's Randy Zak at a tea/coffee shop and Kristy introduces Randy to Mary Anne and Mona Vaughn...I have them all in NYC for college.

Actually, Richard loosened up quite a lot on Mary Anne by book 10, so she didn't spend the entire series under such a tight structure. By the university level, Mary Anne would have learned how to deal with ordering carry-out and laundry and creating her own schedule outside of classes. But I actually think Mary Anne would be very likely to put on at least twenty pounds because she'd be so busy she'd often have carry-out. Stacey would be another one who'd put on a significant amount of weight...largely the same reasons as Mary Anne, but Stacey, being so close to her mom, would struggle with getting used to being away from her single mom. |

Mallory! Because of the above mentioned dislike of exercise, but also because I can imagine here being constantly in the library studying so being pretty sedentary.
I don’t see Claudia getting to college so couldn’t vote for her!

It's a tie between Mary Anne and Mal, due to their lifestyles. Not that I blame them, because I'm an sedentary girl myself.
However, I can see Claudia's lifestyle catching up with her and she ends up gaining a lot of weight as a result.

I don’t see Claudia getting to college so couldn’t vote for her! Why not? Claudia's a bright person. But I can see her going to a non-traditional art school, however. |

In response to cnj: Claudia is bright but she strugglesat Middle School so can’t see her coping well at high school and probably dropping out before end. I’m not saying she won’t be successful, but I think she’ll do it in a different way rather than college
