In honor of all the bad roommate stories on the board. When they get to that transition period in their lives (after high school, before marriage), who do you think would end up sharing a place with a sibling?

I picture Kristy and Sam living in some garbage dump apartment together.
The thought of Claudia and Janine living together is interesting, but I don't think it would happen.

I would love a story about Claudia and Janine living together. I'm in kind of a rut; maybe I'll slap together a little scene. I don't think Dawn and Jeff would WANT to live together, but there could be a funny story where one of them gets fired/breaks up or something and has to beg their sibling to let them hole up there for awhile.
I could see Mallory and Vanessa living together pretty peacefully, or Jessi and Becca, or Abby and Anna.

Mallory and Vanessa would be a dream for Mal; they would both get their writing done in peace and quiet. Claudia and the Lighthouse Ghost has Claudia and Janine sharing a room, which was funny to read about. I could see Abby and Anna living together as well.

I mean, she was so sad to see him go back to California. So, I could picture Dawn helping out Jeff if he came crawling but not the other way around. And the Claudia and Janine thing, I could totally see Janine living in a studio apartment while working on her Masters with Claudia mooching off of her. |

I share a house with my twin sister and my friends that are twins also live together so i'm saying Anna and Abby.

In the later books (especially CD) Dawn and Jeff get a lot more irritable with each other, but I guess that could just be them hitting a bad age combination. (Well, except that they're basically the SAME age the whole time. . .whatever.) |

Dawn really does seem to be protective of Jeff, even when she's annoyed with him. Once he's out of high school, I picture Jeff working part time at Best Buy and smoking a lot of pot and watching a lot of porn, and Dawn will let him crash at her apartment. She'll ask him to start chipping in on rent and food, but he never will but she'll never kick him out because deep down she wants to protect her lil bro.
I also can easily see Kristy sharing a disgusting and smelly apartment with Sam, and Abby and Anna sharing a place. So I voted for Kristy, Dawn and Abby.

I picked Dawn and Mal. Dawn would totally let Jeff crash at her place. She'd be working hard while Jeff would go surfing all day and not contribute. I think she'd eventually kick him out, though. Especially if he brought friends over and they just hung out there all the time. Dawn loves Jeff, but I think she also has her breaking point with him; he can be quite annoying.
Mal would live with Vanessa and they'd have a really cute, cottage style apartment. They probably wouldn't get on each others nerves too badly because they've shared space for so long and are really used to each others habits.
I can't really see Abby and Anna sharing a place. I think their habits are just too different. Anna would want peace and quiet and Abby would always have the radio on and friends dropping by and stuff. I picture Abby as being very social and always wanting to have get togethers at her place while Anna would consider her home a sanctuary and prefer to go out with her friends. I think they'd drive each other crazy.
I didn't pick Kristy, but Kristy and Sam is an interesting idea. They'd definitely get on each others last nerve. Kristy would be totally organized and have cleaning schedules and stuff and Sam would be a complete lazy slob. Sam would probably bring some skanky girls home and Kristy would be grossed out and annoyed. LOL.

I thought they would be good together because I thought Kristy was supposed to be a slob too. Didn't she and Dawn fight about her messiness in BSC on Board? Actually, I don't remember Sam ever being accused of being overly messy. Maybe he would be a Danny Tanner type neat freak.

^LOL, I forgot about Kristy being messy. I don't think she was that messy, though. Wasn't she partly being messy to annoy Dawn? I was actually thinking of Kristy's Worst Idea when Mrs. Brewer is trying to get everyone to help clean the fridge and Sam tries to get out of cleaning. I just picture Kristy as being very organized, not necessarily a neat freak, but just adamant that things get done her way.

Out of the regular sitters I'd assume that the most likely pair that will live together would be Jeff and Dawn, mostly due to my low expectations of Jeff's future options (Hey dude, you got a quarter?). And like Starlett said there'd probably be some tension. I'd always imagine MA and Dawn going out some city together to live and they'd share an apartment. I realize that they're not siblings by blood so they technically dont count.
Claudia and her sister are a no-go. Partly because Janine and Claudia are both too stubborn to concede to the other side. Kristy might get along well with Charlie seeing as he matures a lot throughout the series, but Sam not so much. Maybe when David Michael gets older, he'd be down on his luck and Big-Sis would help him out, but he'd be as whipped as always.
Mal would have no problem having grown up in a big family and I suspect when she would be move to someplace alone, she'd miss the hustle and bustle of the Pike clan.
