Did you like reading parts when Claudia was making Jewelry, or Jewelry she made was on her? Name them here.
Also, did you ever try your hand at Jewelry making cause she made it sound fun? I remember buying Crayola kits that had plaster and moulds, jazzy jewelry where you could use gems, glitter, model magic etc.

I did like reading about it. When I was little, I liked making beaded jewelry. I found a necklace I made as a kid that's totally Claudia inspired, it was made out of sparkly green beads and sequins.

I was really into jewelry-making from about third to seventh grade. (I got my ears pierced the summer before fifth grade, which was great, because I could make earrings really fast--sometimes I would get bored doing a necklace.) The most "Claudia" ones that come to mind were made of green carpet tassels I added beads to. v And I also recall a pink-white-green beaded necklace with watermelon charms. I still wear a few of the tamer pairs I made (and I keep my little pliers handy in case I need to fix a wire.) I used to have a bunch of Claudia-like earrings, too--a paintbrush and a palette, little hot dogs, dollar bills, etc, LOTS of holiday-themed ones--but I pretty much stopped wearing those by the time I was sixteen, and I gave them all to my cousin when she was eleven. (God, that was seven years ago. I'm getting so freakin' old!)

I had holiday themed ones too! My piano teacher gave me candy cane earrings with bells and I got sooo excited! I even had gold heart shaped earrings like the ones Claudia was wearing on some of the covers. I forgot all about those!
I also remember loops with pink, white and blue beads that I wore with jeans, a pink turtleneck and white crochet vest. I remember a necklace with swirling green and yellow design beads and a few brooches with jewel designs. And glittery gold crescents with pink gems. An orange cat brooch, a strawberry brooch, a rainbow brooch.
I think they were pretty good, but people were boring and plain, they even thought it was weird when I was the first in class to start wearing a mini backpack which was the new style and aa month later, other girls were doing it. I wished I was friends with the BSC, or even you now!

I am not a jewelry person, no pierced ears for me. I do remember liking (I'm blanking on it now) the book where Rioko asks Claudia to make some sort of jewelry for a library fund-raiser. I also wish we had gotten to see how Claudia worked for Maureen at M's store. Remember, Maureen was going to talk with Claud's parents about having Claud do some freelance work including making jewelry?

I didn't like them as much ONLY because I can't really wear jewellery (or so society says!)

I think it was in Mystery at Claudia's House. I also liked the book where Claudia made earrings out of dough, and in Mallory and the Trouble With Twins when she made earrings for all the BSC members, including the ones without pierced ears.

I didn't love reading about Claudia's artwork in general. Those were the times where I wished the books came with pictures.
Virgoscorpio, I see guys wearing jewelry all the time.

^It would have been interesting to have seen at least one of Claudia's artistic creations. That aspect of her character was a caricature from the beginning in the sense that all we were ever told was "how super talented she was." Sure we "read" about some of her pieces such as Jackie's head, the earrings, her many paintings of Stacey but because we never "saw" any of them, after awhile it became more of a chapter two description than anything "real." Now, I would have loved to have seen the book the charges and sitters put together for Dawn in "Claudia and the Clue in the Photograph." That would have shown us more of Stoneybrook but also allowed us to see what I suspect really was a passion of Claud's in taking pictures. Too bad that never continued.
Edited to add a thank you to Candykane. Sorry I forgot to say that originally!

Yeah, she was stringing beads I think. It made me want to do it too when I read it I remember thinking her creations in the "Missing Jewels" TV episode were pretty cool and always pictured her work to look like that.

I loved making jewelry when I was a kid! I bought some little art kits and could make clay barettes shaped like animals and stuff. I remember I could also add glitter. I don't remember if I actually wore them to school or anything. I also made earrings and other stuff.
I really want to try making beaded jewelry. A lady I work with does it and it's beautiful stuff.

Yeah in the mystery at claudia's house, she was making beaded jewelry using red, blue, green, white and purple beads. Which book was she designing jewelry for Maureen's store? That would have been great! I also love the Claudia & The Missing Jewels movie and the pieces she made in that. And the book where she made dough jewelry was Dawn SAves the Planet, I'll never forget that cause of Claudia making a comment to Dawn about something environmental Your jewelry making kit sounds cute
