Love this thread! It always bugged me how laughing fixed everything! I remember thinking WTH about Pepperoni Mountain Dog being so funny!

^I never thought that was funny either. Besides, if Kristy had thrown the pepperoni anywhere near Astrid, she (A) just would have eaten it. I think the laughter like the one-shot characters or rushed endings were an easier way out for all the ghosties. Sure sometimes laughter can indeed be the best answer to a problem, a great one in fact. In BSC-land it happened a little too often for my liking.

I knew this thread existed while I was reading Karen's Fishing Trip. There wasn’t any fight going on, but there was an insane amount of laughter. Everyone was catching fish and throwing them in the ice cooler on the boat. Karen was the only one not to catch anything. Finally, she felt what she thought was a huge fish on her line, but it was an old baseball glove. David Michael started laughing. Everyone else tried to suck it in until Karen started laughing, too. Then Watson cried to the point of tears. Karen threw the glove in the ice cooler with the actual fish. That made Mary Anne and Kristy laugh so hard that they had to sit down. Karen’s friend, Keegan, laughed so much that he couldn’t hold on to his fishing pole. These people just really liked laughing.

Ugh, that's not even funny. It's certainly not funny enough to cry with laughter. You're just putting old trash on top of your dinner.

Karen, Nancy, and Andrew were having a fancy tea party in Karen’s Tea Party. Andrew kept trying to force himself to burp. He said he had to practice or he’d forget how to do it. Nancy laughed so hard she tipped her chair back and fell over. They weren't even genuine burps, Nancy.
