I feel like this movie has disappeared off the face of this earth! Not only did I lose my copy of it but still have others, but there are no reviews of it on amazon, so I can't reorder another one. At least not the last time I checked. The fight Mary Anne and Dawn had was never ending, the clothes and acting were terrible in it (Mary Anne's yellow turtleneck and plaid dress) though I didn't think so at the time and only have faint memories of it, and Jamie Anderson was the guy from that show Swan's Crossing, anyone remember that from the early 90's? My friends loved him, but his acting was bad too. Kristy and Mallory did a good job though. I thought it was so cute when Jackie R. said "Oh no, you broke my heart" when MA and Dawn were fighting. And I never heard of Emma, the girl Dawn was baby sitting. I had decided back then that SHE was as Ohdner cute kid kit too

I looked it up on Amazon just now and found it listed there, but the description, list of actors, and reviews are all for the BSC movie, not the tv series. So if one tried to order it, they might end up getting the wrong thing!

I used to have this. (ordered it off of one of those scholastic catalogs we got in school)The guy who played Jamie Anderson now sells Real Estate in Galveston TX. I thought about stalking him once while I was living down there Lol. My first though when I saw him on the cover of the VHS case was that he looked like Sam from Clarissa Explains It All. This was the only one I actually owned and I had all the lines memorized to the point where I would say them along with the actors.

But the people on the covers were never the actors, those were always on the back of the cover, but interesting facts about the guy
And yeah I would have gotten it again, but one copy of the BSC movie is enough, I was disappointed in it.

I meant on the back... I recall looking at the actual pictures... ... not the drawings... Lol.

LOL, I always thought it was funny that the drama in this movie hinged on Dawn and Mary Anne sounding alike on the phone, because the actresses totally did not. Dawn had a. . .distinctive, shall we say, voice. I know a middle school boy could mess that up, and some people just aren't good with voices on the phone but I always thought that was funny. There's a pretty detailed snark with screenshots here: community.livejournal.com/bsc_snark/87043.html

So I bought the entire series online through iOffer but it won't play on my laptop or my desktop (which I use for work). It does play on my sister's laptop, however, so I used it tonight when she was busy. I watched this episode and Claudia and the Missing Jewels and Dawn and the Haunted House.
I probably would have thought Jamie was kind of cute when I was a kid. Something about his voice is nice and did you notice his super tight jeans in one shot?
I LOLed at the part where Dawn and Mary Anne weren't talking to each other during the meeting, backs facing each other, and Dawn says, "Will you remind Mary Anne to pick up extra scissors?" (or something) and Mary Anne retorts back, "Would you tell DAWN that I'm not the type that needs REMINDING."
Good one, Mary Anne.
What's up with Dawn? She always gets the boy crazy plot-lines, in the books and in the TV series now, too. And Mary Anne must be some super hot babe to the guys. A lot of them seem to like her.

I think maybe they are intimidated by Dawn or think she is hard to get, and Mary Anne is a softy that makes them feel warm without trying.

Just watch this one. When Dawn's mom had phone call. It was short. It was like 30 seconds later, Jamie call. So, must have not been important for Mrs. Spier. Must been telemarketing.
It was funny, Dawn & Mary Anne was fighting. Doing the telephone talk.

I wish that they had attempted to make Dawn and Mary Anne's house look at least somewhat like a 200-year-old dark farmhouse. It looks so modern and bright and spacious!

Dawn's salad looks really sad and bland. Like a bunch of shredded up iceberg lettuce with no dressing.
LOL at Mary Anne's hand-in-pocket pose when she picks up Jackie. Also, Mary Anne should take over the personals column: "She's [Dawn] the really pretty blonde with blue eyes and beautiful skin!"
"She's your sister?"
"Yeah! And a star babysitter!"
When Dawn and Mary Anne are gushing on the couch after Jamie calls, Mary Anne asks, "What did he say!?" I don't know whether or not that was in the script because after she says it, the girls collapse into a fit of giggles that doesn't really make sense in the sense. Also, while watching them, the actors look like they have a special moment together where one of them accidentally messes up. Maybe they used that take because the director ended up liking it or something.
Bwahaha @ Mary Anne's comment:
Dawn - "That's not the way you do it." MA - "Since when did you become Michelangelo?"
Why did Mary Anne apologize first? Ugh!
When the kids are dancing at the intro scene to the dance, it makes me laugh. Working in tv before, I know that there's no music playing so they're basically dancing like that to silence which makes it even more funny.
In another thread, someone mentioned how she wanted to see Ben Hobart in the tv series. HE'S IN THIS ONE! At the end!
