Yeah, I do like them the more I look at them. I don't get what ever little picture means, but they have a nice scrapbook-y feel to them. Mary Anne's has a thermometer in the middle of the "D" in Day, a tea pot and cups, knitting needles, and a flashlight. I love the light bulb flower growing in the "I" in Kristy's Great Idea, and it has the club notebook and one of the dogs she sat for. I think I understand Dawn's the least.

Dawn's has roller skates, a cat, and cupcakes on the cover. None of those things pertain to Dawn, nor were they in the story. They never rollerskated in this book that I recall, and Dawn doesn't eat cupcakes. They baked brownies for the picnic at the Pikes'. There were no cats in this book, either - Tigger hadn't even come on the scene yet.
The only thing that makes sense is all the flowers and the insects since this book took place in springtime. And the backpack, I guess, since they were still in school.

I like the UK covers! I think my least favorite part of them is actually the BSC logo at the top -- the font with the square cutouts doesn't seem to go with the cover art all that well. Then again, the baby block logo wouldn't match any better.

Living in the UK I get the Uk editions - and the dog on the front of Kristys great Idea - I honestly thought it was a rabbit

The re-issues (#1-8) are being released on Kindle on Oct. 1st. I wonder if they will release any more without releasing the "real" books. It seems like the smarter way to go with such a large series.

I love the fact that the series is being issued; however, you can tell that not a lot of money is being put into it. The covers look very shotty. I wish they were similar to the old covers, maybe more modernized (with the portraits of the actual girls) instead of bandaids and cupcakes and tea pots and rainboots.
