That's exactly the kind of cover I expected. That article is interesting and answers a lot of questions that we've been talking about.

The cover looks simple. It fits the book, though.

^ Agreed! I figured it would be something like that - plain and simple. I'm glad they didn't get models like they did for the FF books. After picturing the girls a certain way for years and years, it was strange having a new, different representation of them on the FF covers. And if Ann dedicates the book to us - and this includes Afton, of course - in any capacity, I will probably lose my mind. In a good way. ;D

Oh man it's exciting to see the cover! It is similar to what I had expected - something simple, and not showing the girls themselves. It does raise questions though. If this is truly a prequel (and it doesn't contradict the series), doesn't it mean Stacey will go the entire book without meeting Kristy or Mary Anne? If that's the case, it's kinda weird to have a cover representing the friendships between the four girls. Oh, and this quote from the article made me laugh: I think Ann would find offense at that statement! Wouldn't she say the generation of BSC readers had grown up to be cops, doctors, and lawyers?

But we are among the ones at the point to be recommending or even starting to pass along the BSC. Even to nieces or friends!

I like it actually ;D. It's very simple, not overdone, and I like that there were no new models on the cover because I know I would've hated how they looked because they weren't the original ones lol. I forgot, does this come out in March or April?

I love the cover! Does anybody know the release date for Canada? I can't wait to read this book and the re-issue of the first three books.

I'm happy to finally see an article with some information about the book! I think it's cool that Ann is the one that proposed the idea to Scholastic and that she was feeling nostalgic.
The cover is OK. Nothing will ever beat the original look of the covers for me, though.

I wish the cover was in the original style. Nothing will ever beat it. This bit made me laugh:
But some likely readers are older fans, many of them now in their 20s and 30s, who recall the series fondly if not with rabid passion.
