I remember Stacey and the Stolen Hearts and Stacey's Ex-Boyfriend kind of alluding to one another. I think Stolen Hearts was published first although I can't remember.

I'm pretty sure that one example would be Super Mystery #3 Baby-sitters' Fright Night and #101 Claudia Kishi, Middle School Dropout, both of which were published in October 1996: in SM#3, she is still in 8th grade.

In Babysitter's Island Adventure, there is a huge Aunt Cecilia foreshadowing and just pre dates Jessi's Babysitter.

I'm reading Karen's Kittycat Club right now, and in case anyone wonders why it's before Kristy and the Mother's Day Surprise on the list sparklymouse posted, even though it was published the month afterward, it's because Emily hasn't been adopted yet in LS #4.

I finally printed this list, marked what I have, and reshelved according to the list. That's a really good idea!!!

Moving a bit further along, I think Karen's Birthday must take place before Kristy and the Secret of Susan (both were published in March 1990) because at the beginning of #32, Kristy says that Karen is seven.

In the same vein, I suppose Karen's Goldfish takes place before Jessi and the Dance School Phantom (both published in March 1991), because Jessi mentions the goldfish at Kristy's house in Chapter 2.

That way I read them as the continuity flows.

Jessi and the Bad Baby-sitter and Claudia and the Mystery at the Museum were both published in October 1993, but the mystery must take place first, because Claudia says that they haven't replaced Dawn with anybody yet and so far it's working out okay.

Dawn and Whitney, Friends Forever and Claudia and the Clue in the Photograph were both published in August 1994, but the mystery must take place first because Mrs. Barrett and Franklin DeWitt get engaged in #77 but they aren't engaged yet in M#16.

Some people have disagreed with parts of sparklymouse’s list e.g. “Karen’s Birthday” and “Kristy and the Secret of Susan” should be the other way around. A few more books are listed as being in the wrong order. Is there anything in the books in question to suggest that sparklymouse’s reading order could be correct e.g. are there are any contradictions that suggest in one part of a book that a particular book should come before it and in another part of the book that that particular book should come after it? Or did sparklymouse just put books published in the same month in a random order having missed the part indicating which book came first?

I didn't actually make the list, haha. It was from a BSC dedicated website that I don't know if it even exists anymore. The guy who made it was a pretty hardcore, detailed fan, so I assumed the list is pretty accurate. I guess people would have to read the books in question to figure out the order that they think is right.
