I liked reading this book. I liked the story line between Maggie and Tyler and how Vanish sang for some of the scenes in the movie.

This book sort of seems like it's a nod for all women whoever had a crush on a movie star or fantasized about being with a famous person. This one just didn't feel real to me, but then again I'm not rich with a movie producer dad so maybe it is.

This book sort of seems like it's a nod for all women whoever had a crush on a movie star or fantasized about being with a famous person. This one just didn't feel real to me, but then again I'm not rich with a movie producer dad so maybe it is. Same. I'm not sure why, but I find Maggie being embarrassed over having more than other kids to be very irritating. Maybe this is realistic for rich kids, but I still just can't sympathize with this particular point. Blah. Yeah, this one was kind of boring. I don't know what it is, but BSC land CANNOT make show biz interesting. At all. I can't get into the Derek Masters (Marsters? I don't care) plots either. And I thought it was ridiculous that Vanish is basically becoming professional by being in a movie. Why couldn't they just remain a garage band? Argh. Sorry for my complaining, but after Sunny 3, this one especially feels weak. I think Maggie's diaries would've been better if the anorexia plotline continued into this one. It's referenced and she isn't totally better, but her recovery still does feel pretty quick to me. Does anyone else feel this way? I still can't get over 13 year olds having actual jobs. Or maybe her job at the shelter was actually volunteering. That's definitely possible. But in the next book, Amalia is worried about finding a summer job, and I'm like... you're 13!
