I thought it was a bunny, the loopy Ls in her name being the floppy bunny ears. I always thought it was a bunny too, with the Ls making the ears.

The other night I was looking at the back of the T-shirt that one of the middle school girls in my ballet class was wearing, because everyone in her class at school had signed it. I was looking at the teacher's signature, and the "M" in "Ms." was really big and pointy, and she had drawn a face right under the "M" and I wondered if the "M" was supposed to be a crown on top of it, and it made me think of Mallory's signature with the little face under the bunny-ear Ls.
And then I noticed another signature on the shirt... some girl named Jillian actually signed it the same way Mallory does her name, with a little face right under the two Ls! It was so funny, because I'd just been thinking about that.
There is also a girl named Mallory in my ballet class (oddly enough, she is the best dancer in the class), but I've never seen her signature.

I noticed recently that it's taking me longer to read Mary Anne's handwriting than it used to...crazy, because mine used to look exactly like hers, slanted cursive.

Shannon's handwriting. It is easy to read and some what like my own.

Shannon's handwriting makes my hand feel crampy. It is so exact!

Shannon's handwriting makes my hand feel crampy. It is so exact! Seems like it would take a long time to write.

My handwriting is sloppy. When, I write it fast. But, when I take my time. It's good. But, not that good, like my older sister's hand writing.

Do you think any of their handwritings will change as they get older? Who would have the best handwriting then? I can't imagine Stacey dotting "I"s with hearts forever.

Haha, yeah. That's definitely something you can't get away with past middle school. I can see her keeping her handwriting the way it is, just with dots instead of hearts.

Jessi's handwriting is annoying. I don't know any 11 year old who writes like that, let alone cursive.
Where I live they've stopped teaching cursive. When I was going through school, you could only graduate to writing with pen if your cursive writing was up to par.

I write in cursive most of the time, and already by the time I got to high school, the other kids would tell me they couldn't read cursive. at my siblings' school though, they're still required to write in cursive.

The discontinuation of cursive makes me a bit sad. I'm glad some places are still teaching it. I actually think Mallory Pike would enjoy writing in cursive because it is loopy and great for creative signatures. She could draw cute animals to the end of her “Y”.

Did anybody else think the bunny in Mal's signature was a lion or something?
