Who do you love? Or love to hate?

LOL! Apparently I didn't read this question too well last week since I voted for the person I literally thought was the most mean (no "like" at all). I guess, shockingly, I have to vote for Dawn. I liked her for a few moments in the very early days when she *gasp* ate candy, enjoyed it, and explained to her mom the importance of serving food at a party that the guests would enjoy eating. But that was then and soon after was "now" and for all eternity.

Laine all the way. She was more interesting than Cokie, who I guess is the runner-up for me.

laine started it, but cokie perfected it. i voted for her because she ventured into boyfriend-stealing territory, whereas laine was just a major pain in the ass.

Cokie was entertaining while Laine was just a b*tch. However, I vote for Pamela Harding because 7 year old mean girls are funny.

Laine, even though she was rude at times realisticaly at 13 she was more real. but hard to say in the long run. Real as I mean she had it right when she said in the book where Stacey invites her and their friendship ends what 13 year olds were into what was it 8 year olds love life...so true at 13 I may have babysat from time to time but kids at that age did not interest me and I sure wasn't going around talking about little kids lives, yet stacey was always telling charlotte everything about her love life, kinda unrealistic.

^Do you mean Stacey was telling Charlotte about Charlotte's love life or her own?

I remember that but don't really think Laine "had it right". Laine visited Stacey around Valentine's Day, and two of the clients were crushing on each other. (Was it Buddy and an Arnold twin?) The BSC were gossiping about it at the meeting that Laine attended. She thought it was lame that Stacey cared about what was going on. As to "what 13 year olds were into 8 year olds love lives," well...13 year olds who baby-sit for reasons other than money. (I don't recall Stacey ever confiding in Charlotte about her boyfriends either.)

Laine seemed... lost to me. She was trying to grow up too fast. I predict a lot of trouble for her, especially given the way she was described when Stacey ran into her in Stacey's Problem.
Cokie I just found to be dumb and pathetic. She was ridiculously stupid in Mary Anne Misses Logan, where she is barely literate.
Alexis DeCamp I found interesting. I have also in the past been a bitchy roommate, just because sometimes I just need SPACE. And we seem to have similar fashion sensibilities. But she was also kind of a sociopath.
I like the Bad Girls because that is my favorite storyline of the whole series.
I don't see how Dawn is a "mean girl" at all.

Oh, I don't really think Dawn is a mean girl, but she did start to bully her views onto people after a while. Maybe she should be in the running for favorite annoying girl instead.

^True. Mary Anne was probably more "mean" (unthinking and or strangely passive/agggressive) than Dawn (on a longer term basis).

Grace seems to be a Nice Girl, I don't recall her being mean to anyone, except the minor prank she did in "Mary Anne's Bad Luck Mystery".

I don't know about Grace...she seems okay when she's not with Cokie, but then she goes and backs Cokie up when C steals credit for Stacey's decorating ideas in Haunted Masquerade. Her character is interesting, but she doesn't seem trustworthy...but I guess that's not really quite enough to classify her as "mean."
I didn't notice the Bad Girls in the poll. Sheila always made me uncomfortable. She totally reminded me of the popular girls in school that would be nice to someone meeker/less popular one second, and then say something awful to them the next. The other Bad Girls seemed like classic followers.
Shawna just seemed dumb and stuck on herself rather than like a true mean girl. She's pretty hilarious in 2 Many Babies.
Alexis was definitely a little disturbed.
