Actually, out of Karen and her inner circle (Andrew, Nancy, Hannie, Ricky, Natalie and Bobby) I think Karen was the second least annoying one after Hannie. If they were all still friends as teenagers that would be an insufferable group to hang out in.

So! I am collecting them all, I'm a completist, as the vote says, and I have to announce I have two LS left! I'm excited! 91 and 111... I really want them all so I can read right through!

I just started completing them in my adult life. I never was interested in them before, really. They were more for the not as experienced readers. But I love them!

I read them all in random order which turned out to be pretty fun. I ended up reading some stuff without explanations (their nanny appeared out of nowhere, everyone was in Chicago without Karen, that sort of thing), but for the most part I think they're funny stand alone books that just happen to have the same characters in each one.
ETA: Haha, scrounge. I almost wanted to throw Pony Camp in the garbage can after I read it. I thought it was that boring.

I used to have the full series but I now have all of them except one. One of them got water damaged, and of course it's one of my very least favorites (Karen's Pony Camp), so I don't even really want to replace it, except that it annoys me not to have them all.
