Good job, BooBoo and lol on my typo. The Pike parents are like clams when it comes to making certain Mallory never wears sparkly sweatshirts! Buckinghamalice, that is so funny. Maybe Mal needs to say "But Mrs. Newton is allowed to have her hair professionally cut and styled and she's a mother, do I need to wait that long?"
I still wonder if #21 was the first time poor Mal got to go to a salon. After all our talk on here it is glaringly obvious that Mal was left out of the haircut trip post Calladews.

^Mallory's just jealous because Mrs. Newton can change her hair without tricking her parents. Love it!

I don't mind Mallory's "whatever" in that context because it wasn't necessary for Mrs. Newton to correct her. Just say "Thanks, I will" and leave.

i forget which book it is, but one of the girls (i'm thinking mallory or MA) is sitting because the mom wants to go to the salon. the sitter says "enjoy your haircut" and the mom corrects her by saying "i'm getting it colored" and whichever sitter it was just said "whatever." ugh, it's killing me that i can't remember specifics but that has always pissed me off. you don't talk to anyone like that, especially if they pay you. that scene is kristy and the secret of susan the mom made the mistake as kristy said she said hair cut i mean color

I think the only instance that I remember was when Kristy said that she'll punch the kid's lights out in # 2.

I thought it was rude that Kristy said to Rob Feldman (Didn't Susan have a last name called Feldman, also?),"One false move or I'll punch your lights out." in Claudia and the Phantom Phone Calls. However, she WAS twelve at the time. ;D I personally think it is very realistic thing to say at the age of twelve. I'm not saying I'm on Kristy's side, she is still, therefore, rude. When I was twelve (and thirteen, and fourteen, and fifteen...), I called my siblings 'butts' or 'dummies' whenever I babysat them. The BSC wouldn't like me then.

We know all about how horribly the BSC Members behaved at Jamie's 4th birthday party, how they "silently" react each time Mrs. Prezzioso dares to call... In Kristy and the Mother's Day Surprise, the club is discussing which kids to invite to the Sudsy's Carnival excursion: "I hate to say this," said Mary Anne, "but Jenny Prezzioso. We just have to ask her if we ask the Barretts and Mal's brothers and sisters."
"Oh, ew!" I cried. "Ew, EW! Jenny is so spoiled."
Then later on, when Mary Anne is reading off the list of kids who can come: "Becca Ramsey; David Michael; Karen and Andrew Brewer; Jamie Newton; Jackie, Shea, and Archie Rodowsky; Jenny Prezzioso." (I tried not to choke.)
d**n! Kristy really despises that girl. haha
