Re: Ben not in the series, Mallory danced with a random redhead boy in the final scene of Dawn and the Dream Boy; maybe that was supposed to be him. I wish Mallory had gotten an episode of her own, too. Maybe they could have featured her epic fight with Ben over the library's card catalog. I actually noticed this last night while watching the episode and wrote it in the Dawn and the Dream Boy thread.

really enjoyed this episode! The scary lady did seem scary and weird and I would've been freaked out too, haha. That line where Stacey said she loved hardware stores was so weird and out of character. I think she was being sarcastic or joking or something?

I just saw this episode for the first time last week. It was genuinely creepy. I thought the sitters (Dawn in particular) said some pretty hurtful things about Mrs. Slade, and the prank call about the dog in the woods was really messed up. I also thought the sitters were too quick to dismiss Claudia's moodiness and should have spent more time being thoughtful and supportive. Even when I saw Claudia in Mrs. Slade's house, I didn't put two and two together. I figured Mrs. Slade was a friend of the family and Claudia was defending her out of loyalty or even principle.
This episode makes me really excited for fall. I loved the views during the scenes in the woods.

^I know what you mean about fall. It’s such a beautiful season. I also love fall because it’s not too cold or hot, and you can wear sweaters, which I love.❤️

In this opening everyone except for Claudia and Jessi were badly riding bikes. They were going so slowly that they were all wobbly and swerving in and out of each other’s way. Kristy’s bike handles looked like they were on backwards to me, but I’m not exactly a biking enthusiast.
Dawn spent too much time with Karen. She totally believed that this lady cast spells and hypnotized a cat.
Jamie Newton had zero art ability. He should be able to make some sort of shape at this point of his life, no? Stacey and the dog were literal paint smears.
Mrs. Slade may kill people as a pastime. She was shopping for a lantern, a very sharp knife, a very strong shovel, and rope. Oh, and a broom that Dawn said she flew with. (cough, cough, Karen)
Claudia was very Donna Martin in this. Donna had an unspecified learning disorder and also got butthurt when people alluded to her dumbness.

Now watching this one. Haha the bikes. Kristy’s bike looks like older her brothers fixed it up for her as a prank. How great is the bright, winter fashion in this show. Claudia grabbed a lot of cookies from the cookie jar.
The tutor is a bit creepy in the hardware store. Funny scene though.
Also where is the sleepover? Someone’s attic with candles? Eek. Or the barn at Dawn’s place?
