This is inspired by a thread on Twilight Zone Cafe: twilightzonewor.9.forumer.com/index.php?s=ef2faeea9910ab9b2acdb8c464dba9ea&showtopic=3739We go through each book in the series, starting with Kristy's Great Idea, and each person gets to name three things they didn't like about it. A poster can only make consecutive posts if it's been twenty four hours since their last one. No discussions of a previous book if a new one has since been discussed. This is too avoid this thread getting too jumbled. I'll start. Why Kristy's Great Idea wasn't great: 1. The cover art of the original book. Claudia and Stacey look like mannequins (I read this book when I was about nine and thoughthat's what Kristy meant when she said that they looked like models). 2. The Janine bashing "She sometimes makes me want to barf. She almost always makes Claudia want to barf." Pretty harsh for a girl who has only been smart and corrected people. 3. I know it's intentional but Stacey's secret is a real letdown. All that build up and it turns out that she's diabetic?! I really liked this book so it was hard for me to find three flaws. The ones I chose weren't even that bad. Next: Why Claudia and the Phantom Phone Calls should be invisible.

^I love your #1 about thinking that you thought that's why Kristy said Claud and Stace looked like models!

Claudia and the Phantom Phone Calls:
1. Kristy telling Rob "one false move and she'll punch his lights out." In general, but especially in front of Jamie. I realize it was meant to be funny, but it wasn't.
2. Claudia interrupting Mimi's remembrance of when she "was a little girl in Japan" to complain about Janine. Again.
3. Pages 64-66 that Kristy ignores Andrew, leaves him in the kitchen, in favor of entertaining Karen's tales.
This is my second favorite BSC book of all time so it was also difficult for me to come up with three things I didn't like about it.

3 Things I didn't like about The Truth About Stacey:
1. Can I just say Laine Cummings? Bratty little snot.
2. Stacey's parents searching for a cure for Diabetes. I realize that new things happen everyday, and hopefully there will one day be a cure, but the McGills really ought to have had sense enough to know that it wouldn't happen over night.
3. The Babysitters Agency. I mean, it was a cute subplot and all, but it seemed a little exaggerated.

Mary Anne Saves the Day:
Honestly, I didn't like much anything about this book really. But here's three things.
1. MA began her shift from Kristy's bff and friends with other club members as well as a seemingly "real" and interesting character into a passive-aggressive Dawn leach.
2. The BSC's behavior at Jamie's party. Too be "fair" "Boo" also to Mrs. Newton for not calling the girls on it.
3. Dawn and her 100 watt lightbulbs on Page 43. They probably didn't exactly "help" the wiring any.
What went wrong in Dawn and the Impossible Three?

Dawn and the Impossible Three: This is my favorite Dawn book, so... 1. The title. I mean, Mrs. Barrett is the impossible one, not the kids. 2. Mrs. Barrett in general. Gag. 3. Chocolate allergic Marnie scarfing M&Ms. Oh inconsistencies... Next: what didn't you like about Kristy's Big Day?

Kristy's Big Day:
1) SHE'S not getting married? awww man
2) Karen acted so silly from how I knew her already from the Little Sister books
3) Emma, what a stupid thing to do!

Claudia and Mean Janine:
1. Claudia! What a witch she was to Janine, especially almost hitting her in front of Jamie.
2. Mimi's stroke. I HATE that this happened to her and eventually she was killed off.
3. Page 64 (Original Cover) "Oh I didn't even bother to ask her (Janine). I'm sure she's busy with her schoolwork." Mrs. Kishi's response to Claudia asking why Janine wasn't helping make dinner that night. Apparently, Mrs. Kishi, at least in that instance, has written off her elder daughter too. :/

1. stacey blowing off her friend for a boy, something she apparently never outgrows.
2. gratuitous tanning. only MA learns her lesson.
3. the conversation about how margo should drink grape soda so it would look cool when she throws up. gross.

Goodbye, Stacey, Good-bye, Another one of my favorites so it's hard to be "negative" about it but here goes:
1. Stacey's note to Charlotte in the book. I understand it was meant to be very sweet and sincere and probably that was Stacey's intention but I didn't care for Stacey using the generic (less personal) terms of "my favorite kid" "from your favorite baby-sitter." I think they meant more to one another than that, we were just rarely shown their bond.
2. That this was the last McGill Family of 3 book in Stoneybrook. I wish Ann had kept them together.
3. I wish one of the kids had thanked Mrs. Porter for the lemonade.
Next: Hello, Mallory!
