Claudia, Queen Of The Seventh Grade:
1. All the eighth-grade BSC members making fun of seventh grade and not being interested in Claudia's problems (except Mallory and Jessi)
2. Claudia being interested in Mark out of nowhere.
3. Claudia not noticing that Josh is interested in her.
I should note here that this is kind of scraping the bottom of the barrel. On the whole, this is a pretty fun book. But it's true that I guessed Claudia was interested in Josh before it was confirmed in her next book. I mean, come on, he keeps walking her home when his house is in the other direction!

Mind Your Own Business, Kristy!
1. How Kristy keeps trying to set up Sarah and Charlie back together! I mean I feel like that’s a bit of an awkward position for a sibling to put themselves in...
2. Kristy accusing Charlie of being just like their father! I just thought that was such a cold and terrible thing to say.
3. How Kristy’s feelings about Angelica turned out to be correct. This annoyed me because it’s just like another way of Kristy getting her way.
4. How Charlie and Sarah got back together, I mean how realistic is that?!

Don't Give Up, Mallory:
1. Mallory giving up on trying to participate in the class entirely
2. The Memorial Parade subplot - when we already had the fundraiser subplot.
3. Every time Mallory tries to participate, she messes up or everyone undermines her comments (her suggestion of the reading program has the boys steering her off-track and then basically making it sound stupid, and she skips a line while reading "Green Eggs and Ham").

Mary Anne to the Rescue
1. Why was Mary Anne so scared when she had already been in a stressful situation, from all the way back in, Mary Anne Saves the Day?
2. Did all of the BSC really have to be there when Dawn was coming from California in the beginning? I’m not sure if that’s something I would want after being on a long plane ride.
3. Why didn’t Logan go to boarding school? I mean in a way, if he did go, that would be way more more realistic compared to his dad conveniently and randomly changing his mind in the end. 4. Dawn shouldn’t have forced Mary Anne to lie in the fake blood.

Mary Anne to the Rescue 1. Why was Mary Anne so scared when she had already been in a stressful situation, from all the way back in, Mary Anne Saves the Day? True and Dawn did mention when Mary Anne was calm with the Jenny Prezzioso deal, but that had been over a year before. It's not something you simply 'get over' or forget about. It would have been unrealistic if Mary Anne had been totally fearless and calm, especially as sensitive as she is. 2. Did all of the BSC really have to be there when Dawn was coming from California in the beginning? I'm not sure if that's something I would want after being on a long plane ride. It made it lots more fun since Dawn is rather extroverted and eager to see all the BSC along with Mary Anne. And the flight was a day flight, not an early morning or evening flight. But for some people and in some cases, true that some people would not want an entire group meeting them at the airport. 3. Why didn’t Logan go to boarding school? I mean in a way, if he did go, that would be way more more realistic compared to his dad conveniently and randomly changing his mind in the end. Agreed there. Mary Anne helped a great deal, but yes, in most real life situations, a dad as strict as Lyman Bruno would not change his mind that easily. 4. Dawn shouldn't have forced Mary Anne to lie in the fake blood. True...and afterward, Mary Anne did let Dawn know how upset she was and Dawn later apologized.

Abby The Bad Sport:
1. Abby. Just Abby. I didn't like the way she treated the disabled kids and the way she acted about not getting to be in her usual position, not to mention just being ill-tempered in general.
2. The Booster Club. Nothing interesting about that at all.
3. This. Book. Was. Forgettable. Every time I read it, I forget it immediately after. I never remember what order anything's in. I had to reread it just to write this post!

Stacey’s Secret Friend (I actually own this one!)
1. How Stacey feels like she needs to change Tess, because she doesn’t think she looks good.
2. Why didn’t Tess just cut Stacey off and tell her that she was from France! She had so many chances to tell her.
3. How is the whole eighth grade (or school, I forgot) mean to Tess? This is just so unrealistic to me, and doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. I’m just glad she ended up having Barbara in the end.
4. I don’t know why Stacey becomes a big judge in this book. I mean some of her sophisticated clothes don’t sound that good at all!

1. The mishaps that occurred while Maria and Tiffany tried to make the snickerdoodles. 2. Tiffany and Maria should have written the letter in the beginning expressing how they felt ignored. 3.Making someone's life harder because they didn't appreciate the kind gestures is ineffective. (I must admit I loved reading about the pranks, though) 4.Shannon not asking the girls why they were being so vicious..in other words, a heart to heart. 5.Claudia being so pushy about making Kristy care about shopping.

Claudia Makes Up Her Mind
1. How the seventh grade color is orange. I don’t want to offend anyone if that’s their favorite color, but orange is a bit harsh.
2. How the subplot with the little kids relates to the one about the Color War. I mean, come on, I know it’s supposed to be cute, but it’s really annoying.
3. How the decision to go back to eighth grade is all on Claudia. It just goes to show that she didn’t need to be put back into seventh grade in the first place. All Claudia needs is a better support system.

The Secret Life Of Mary Anne Spier:
1. Dawn's initial behaviour (high school pressure) and the way Mary Anne sort of overreacted to it.
2. Angela's family. Ugh, I hate elitism and that's what they represented - plus even when they got the chance to talk to their daughter, they hung up on her.
3. That Mary Anne had to keep her job such a major secret. I can see why she didn't tell her family, but just because her friends would have teased her? What kind of a stupid reason to keep quiet is that? Being an elf isn't that much different from babysitting, apart from the costume.

Jessi’s Big Break
1. How Jessi is the most talented dancer. How realistic is that for an 11 year old?
2. How Jessi was acting towards Mallory when she came to NY. Your best friend literally came to see you and you’re basically ignoring her.
3. How annoying Becca became...
4. How Jessi threw down a perfectly good chance to stay in New York to pursue dancing more than she already has. She also comes back to Stoneybrook just in time for Mallory to leave for boarding school in MA. Maybe it’s karma for how she treated Mallory in book 125...

Abby and the Best Kid Ever:
1. How boring Abby's project was to read about, considering how interesting a project it was.
2. Lou's "Worst Kid Ever" lapse. Just seemed weird that she'd switch back, and what she did do wasn't really that bad - not on par with the way she kept abusing pets in her first book.
3. Isn't Jay eleven? Why does he need a babysitter? Imagine if this was a Jessi book or something - she's exactly his age. It's the same thing I complain about whenever someone babysits for Shannon's sisters - Tiffany is eleven and does not need a babysitter. Jay's the same.

Claudia and the Terrible Truth
1. How the Kishi’s handled the whole babysitting situation with Lynn. It felt like she was partially being looked after. Along with how we never really saw Claudia babysitting Lynn.
2. The bsc (or Claudia for that matter) not really doing anything about the threatening phone call Claudia got from Mr. Nicholls in the middle of the night.
3. I know this is going to sound weird, but how Mr. Nicholls abuse was so obvious. I know this is a children’s series, so they wouldn’t go that far with it. But abusers in most cases are manipulative, and can hide the abuse well.
