I don't mean as in "Our Club (The BSC does -----)" I mean when a BSC Member uses "Our" when she should say "My." Is it another way of including "Us?"

In Logan Likes Mary Anne, Claudia comments to Gabbie and Myriah "I wish we had a dog." I know she meant the Kishi family but how it was stated made it sound like either She, Gabbie, and Myriah were a family and suddenly did not own Chewy or that she was talking about an unkown group.
In Mary Anne's Bad Luck Mystery, MA refers to her mailbox at least twice as "our mailbox."
