I bought Dawn and the Impossible Three and donated it to a holiday book drive; I mainly just wanted to make sure I purchased a copy so that hopefully it would help to show that people are buying the books so that more will be made! I'm not sure how far they are planning to go with the series, and maybe the publishers don't know yet--maybe that all depends on how well the ones that are already out are selling :-)
I don't own any of the rereleases but I have read through the new "Kristy's Great Idea". As far as I could tell, it's the exact same story with a few dated references updated for a newer audience (i.e., cassette tape players replaced with iPods) As for the price point, I think we just have our good friend "Inflation" to thank for that. Everything costs more than it did in the '80s unfortunately, though $5.99 is actually not a bad price for an intermediate-readers' book.
I am surprised that Boy Crazy Stacey is coming out so late in the year. I was enjoying the frequency of the rereleases! Does anyone know if maybe for some reason there is an oddly large amount of things that need to be reworked in that book?

According Ann M. Martin, they only planned on re-issuing the 8 first books in the Series. The Mystery & Supper Special series will not be re-issued. I have all of them except for "Kristy's Big Day", but I'm planning on getting it soon.
The re-issues are exactly the same as the original ones, except that they updated them and changed a few things.

Its hard to see them selling well in England, I have been into loads of book shops all over Somerset - and I cant find any of them being sold. I have had to order all the new editions from amazon.

I read it pretty regularly, and I don't recall her saying that they were stopping at eight... She doesn't confirm the new ones too far in advance.

I hope they will make more! I'm hoping for "Logan Likes Mary Anne!" to be re-released.

When did they cost $1.99? Even in the late 80s, that seems cheap...
