Exactly, you shouldn't be so afraid of your friend!

I love the officialness of the club, I like rules and order. I'm kind of a Kristy that way. I get pretty ticked off when my coworkers come late to a meeting, but I don't have the authority to give them a look. But I did feel Kristy was too anal about things out of their control (a parent coming home late, traffic, etc). Those didn't deserve the look.

I think that they all had their own reasons for it. Stacey - she was grateful for them becoming "instant friends" for her. Claudia - helping her pay her phone bills. Mary Anne - thinks she needs to or else she won't be a good friend Mallory - because she liked being around girls who are older (because they are at an age that she aspires towards the most)
Or they thought that they had to put up with it in order for the "business" to run well. I mean, what do they know about running business??

Right. It may be funny to us as adults, but if that's the way they could figure out how to make their business work, then great!

Every now and then you hear something about some young entrepeneurs, sometimes on a larger scale than something as local as the BSc.

Maybe running the BSC was possible back in the 80s, but the thought of a group of 11 & 13 year olds running a business like that these days............ aggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Don't want to think about it!
Yep, the BSC was SUPERDY DUPERDY official! ;D

Besides, wouldn't it be more interesting to read about as official than as less official?

I find the super officialness endearing. Plus, it makes for some great snark.

If any of you watch NCIS, I always imagined the Kristy Look as the Gibbs Glare.
I thought it seemed immature more often; little girls trying to copy what adults do and behave to look legitimate.

I found this in Claudia and the Little Liar. At least it explains Kristy's thinking a little. I like that Claudia is so nonchalant about Kristy's paranoia. And that her thoughts are just one enormous sentence.
