Pretty much everyone was assigned a special talent as part of their character make-up. Who do you think had legitimate talent in their field? Meaning, not good at what they do because their tweenage friends think so, but had actual talent that could stand out in the real world.

I picked Stacey's math skills b/c I was a huge math nerd too and I think those would be more successful to make a career from. Maybe a CPA, financial advisor, even computer programmer.

Not sure yet but Mary Anne's can cry on command is rather funny.

Wiggir13, do you think Stacey was exceptionally good at math compared to other people? That was kinda what I was asking. Who do you think was really good at what they did compared to the general public.
I think Jessi was supposed to be legit good at ballet. Her skills actually got her out of Stoneybrook.

I voted for Jessi because her talent was recognized outside of the BSC.
In agree that Stacey was talented in math - moreso than others in Stoneybrook. I just read Stacy the Math Whiz a couple nights ago & she was 1st in the state (or was it 1st in Stoneybrook?).

From what I understand, Stacey was first in the state.

I'm thinking it was probably just 1st in Stoneybrook. State sounds impressive though. I'm too lazy to go look it up.

At first, she was first in her district but by the end of the book, she had broken the individual state scoring record.

I voted for Jessi, I just read Secret Language where she was in Coppelia. Mme Noelle must know talent when she sees it!

I'm going to stick by my choice then for Stacey!

I can't bring myself to vote for Jessi (though begrudgingly I admit she probably was talented), so I'm voting for Stacey.

i voted for jessi. even though her talent isn't as practical as math skills or business savvy, i have so much respect for the creative arts. of course you can always take lessons, but that will only take you so far. so much of her talent is her natural grace and strength.

I voted for Jessi. She must be doing something right if she kept getting all those roles.

Jessi's ballet...she was good enough to be recognized for her talent in NYC, not just in little ol' Stoneybrook!

Can "recognized outside of Stoneybrook" also be said for Claudia? Her teacher Serena McKay went to RISD and was supposedly one of the best artists in the country. Oh, and there was Mackenzie Clarke in NYC.
