Who do think it would be and why?

I think this would be MA. She just doesn't really have a grip on her emotions and I think would get so overwhelmed by any shift or change. Eventually things would catch up to her and she would flip.

I agree with wiggirl. I could see it being Mal, too. She's always griping about her family. One day she's going to go crazy on them.

I can see Kristy having a nervous breakdown after getting herself into a lot of activies and not having enough time to do every thing.

Shannon. She put the most pressure on herself and her home life seemed to be the worst.

I also agree with Wiggirl about Mary Anne. I don't think she's settled in many of her relationships or her feelings about them. Particularly as she gets to be an older teen (if that ever happens), this might cause lots of anxiety.

I wonder about Karen Brewer when she gets older. The kid already has those goofy glasses and worries about her appearence. I could see her being anorexic in highschool and perhaps one of those Daddy's Little Girl With Money girls and insisting on plastic surgery, corrective eye surgery. Or she could totally go from being the smart kid in 2nd grade to finding out she's not all that clever in 5th grade and it all goes down hill for her.

^Good point about Karen, Jennifer. Also as she gets older, people might always think she's so wonderful. Andrew as he gets older has more of a voice, doesn't "depend on her" as much and she's not always the center of attention or has to learn to "tone it down."

i keep thinking mallory is the most likely. she sort of lost it in mallory on strike, and i could see her getting more stressed during high school when her classes get harder and she's worrying about college. even though she left for riverbend, it didn't solve all her problems. she just felt more alienated than ever.

I could also see Stacey as she grows older and goes through high school, struggling more with where she fits in along with the food issues for her.

She liked Riverbend though and found her place there. It was only in Stoneybrook where she sort of felt like she no longer belonged and that her role in her family was usurped by Byron.

The term "nervous breakdown" gets thrown around too easily. It's so much more than being overwhelmed by your schedule.

Oh yea I could totally see Karen acting that way and I actually have a fic where she has a break down and everything goes wrong I wonder if I should still write it.

Nowadays, I see Logan as being the most likely to have a breakdown.
In my timeline, he's a farm manager for his uncle in Kentucky, Logan and his wife fight constantly, they have two kids who are getting out of control and his overbearing dad Lyman often gives him unsolicited advice about his life.
To top it all off, recently Logan's brother Hunter, who has been divorced twice and has completely lost custody of two sons, was arrested on terrorist charges.
Logan's uncle bailed Hunter out of prison, much to Logan's dismay.
Logan's uncle reasoned that since prisons had a high covid spread risk and Hunter has asthma and heart disease, he'd be at high risk in a prison cell.
Lyman also hired a lawyer for Hunter, whose trial is later this summer of 2021 and plans to try to buy Hunter's way out of jail.
Logan hates it because he and Hunter are not on great terms and because Logan views his dad and uncle as favoring and bailing Hunter out.
So...that's why I see Logan likely to have a breakdown.
