We talk a lot about other series we like. If I haven't read the series in question I'll scan through the list of titles and make judgement based on that. If you hadn't read any BSC and were given a list of the titles (not counting mysteries because those are all strange), what do you think your first impressions of each girl would be? Do you think they would be accurate?
For example:
I think Mary Anne sounds just as boy-crazy as Stacey. (Three books with Logan in the title, plus Great Romance and Too Many Boys). I don't really think of her that way, but I guess you could say she was specific boy-crazy for a while. She also sounds very confident (Saves the Day, To the Rescue, Breaks the Rules), which I don't think was true at all.
Stacey sounds like a drama queen. (The Truth, Boy-Crazy, Mistake, Choice, Emergency, Ex-Best Friend and Ex-Boyfriend, Lie, Bad Girls, Vs. the BSC, geez practically every book...) And yet I don't think of her like that.
Dawn sounds like the All-American teenage girly-girl. (Little Miss Stoneybrook, Older Boy, Big Date, Big Sleepover, We Heart Kids Club, Whitney Friends Forever) I don't see that either.
Any thoughts on these or the other girls' book titles? And do we have a thread anywhere that lists the books for each girl separately?

Thanks for those zoar. Kristy's titles seem the most varied. Mal's titles read like chapters in a book...hello, trouble, poor her, strike, get well, don't give up, and finally, all-new.

Looking at these makes me think I would see Claudia as someone that trouble and sorrow follow! Phantom calls, bad joke, sad goodbye, great search, crazy peaces, recipe for danger, middle school drop out, terrible truth....you see where I'm going....
^love the list zoar!

I had the thought that some of Mal's titles make it sound like she's a brooding star of some sort either in a positive (Dream Horse, All-New) or soap opera/ tv movie way as in "On Strike," "Twins," and "Christmas Wish."

Stacey seems like she's one of the popular girls at school "Mean Girls" style. Boy-Crazy Stacey, Stacey’s Ex-Best Friend, Stacey and the Cheerleaders, Stacey and the Bad Girls, Stacey and the Fashion Victim, Stacey’s Ex-Boyfriend, Stacey and the Stolen Hearts
Dawn sounds like she has a troubled family life that she runs away from. Dawn’s Wicked Stepsister, Dawn’s Family Feud, Dawn’s Big Move, Farewell Dawn.

^I never thought about it that way, but it really does!
A lot of Kristy's books (Mother's Day Surprise, Krushers, Baby Parade) all have to do (more directly) with charges or family.

I think a lot of Mallory's make her sound pretty negative, which I actually agree with. (Poor Mal, On Strike, Don't Give Up, Hates Boys and Gym).
Which titles do you think best represent their person? Maybe Kristy's, like zoar3 mentioned. Kristy really was all about the people surrounding her.

Based on what Polaris said above, I think Dawn and Kristy, too.

Jessi sounds like she is a b*tch who comes from the wrong sides of the tracks with ...
Secret Language, Big Break (bone breaker!), Troublemaker, Bad Babysitter, Awful Secret, Jewel Thieves (did she kill a deaf baby and run off with the parents' diamonds?!)

Yeah, I can see that. I was just trying to make up a stupid story that goes along with the book titles.

abby's books kind of sound like a fairy tale that goes wrong at the end: welcome, lucky thirteen, twin, best kid ever, wonderland, and then un-valentine. bad sport doesn't really fit in there though.
