Who will hoard things when they're older?

I picked Claudia because she was described as a pack rat.

I have to agree with what you said. I wonder how could she possibly sleep with all those art supplies, arts and candies all over her bedroom.

First impulse tells me to go with Claudia for the reasons already mentioned above. However, upon more thought...does anyone else think that maybe Mary Anne could be a surprise candidate? After all, a lot of the people I see on the hoarding shows were perfectly normal (sometimes even super-neat!) until some terrible thing caused them to lose many/all of their possessions, and they also develop strong emotional attachments to objects. It's possible that MA could end up becoming a hoarder as a coping mechanism to make up for all the sentimental things that she lost during her house fire.

^Or for her loss of Dawn! Or...maybe one day..she finally realizes what a lousy person and friend she was to Kristy. I'd like to think if she ever apologized their friendship would not automatically resume; Kristy deserved better. If I am honest so did MA in terms of having a healthy friendship.
Didn't we discuss this somewhere else recently? I remember saying, possibly agreeing with others, that Stacey might one day come to a place where she was truly lonely--no bf or any friends left to "chose" and as a result become much more interested in "stuff." Now that I think about it, I also remember saying Kristy would hold onto as much early childhood and BSC memories as she could. I just checked and the "what would they collect" thread is similar to this one. I guess this is a larger scale version of that.
The only member I could possibly envision (if she didn't address her father's death) being a hoarder would be Abby. Similar to what I said about Stacey, there will come a time when jokes no longer cut it as a coping mechanism and/or an impersonation goes too far. Either that or as Abby gets older, in a way like my Grandpa's death did for me, and is on her own at college, the realization that he is gone will hit her full-on and in away she was never able to allow it to before. Does that make sense? If/when that were too happen, I could see her trying to fill up her space with stuff sort of like she currently does with loud music or trying to always be the center of attention.

I'm picturing Tigger dying and Mary Anne becoming a cat hoarder. (Not really, because the pancake kitty episodes of Hoarders always gross me out.) Peppermintraymaker is right though. The people are almost always described as "normal" until a tragic event occured.

#56 Keep Out, Claudia!: In all seriousness, I see Claudia being a packrat (never being able to throw stuff away because she'll always be thinking "I'm sure I'll be able to think of a use for that someday") but not a hoarder, since hoarders are usually start hoarding because of some kind of emotional trauma that made them snap. At first I was thinking Mallory...I don't know why. We all know she's going to snap someday and that she's aware of how unpopular she is with people in general. I guess I could see her snapping, deciding she hates society and wants to live as a hermit, and then just living among her Things. But zoar3's post convinced me to vote for Abby. When I've watched Hoarders, the trigger for a surprising number of them was the death of a parent, which they were unable to cope with. Abby hasn't come to terms with her dad's death yet, and it might take her years and years, if she's ever able to. Add in the fact that she has a love for tchotchkes like that little ceramic pumpkin she got in SM#3 Baby-sitters' Fright Night, and I can definitely see Abby being a hoarder! So I voted for her.

Mallory! She'll go a little nutty when she's older from all the babysitting she had to do when she was younger and all the kids she's been unable to get away from. And writing doesn't pay that much, but she'll still have to buy Christmas presents for her bazillion brothers and sisters. So she'll hoard everything she finds, collecting it together and making little mouse trinkets or clothes out of glitter.

I could see Claudia's packrat behavior being pushed over the edge to hoarding if she experiences something traumatic. I've seen it with a few people on the hoarders show who admit they were always messy and liked holding onto things but started hoarding once something bad happened.
I was getting a hoarders vibe from mrs. barrett when reading dawn and the impossible three. Maybe she was just a slob in that book but the description of her dirty house reminded me of these friends of my husband's who are what I would call early stage 1 hoarders

I agree about MA for all the reasons mentioned above (but it wont let me vote?)
She seems like someone who'd hoard sentimental stuff, and also who would react badly to some kind of emotional event.

No votes yet for Dawn. I believe when she was packing to go to CA, she was hanging on to old and ratty stuffed animals because of their sentimental value.

I picked Mary Anne because she seems to already show tendencies toward hoarding. She keeps buying toys for Tigger even though it seems that it wouldn't be that difficult to just go retrieve the ones that Tigger "loses."
