Who should've had the last book in the regular series before Friends Forever started? I left out Mallory and Dawn since they were written out of the series and I left out Shannon and Logan since they're associate members and they usually didn't have books except Reader Requests.

I like that Mary Anne had it because she was the last of the 4 original sitters to have a book. But I can understand people thinking Kristy because she's the one that "started it all"!

Mary Anne was a nice pick to have for the last book. Although that very last book isn't my all-time favorite, it's quite a good read.

Kristy, no question. The final book should have been a super special, or at least a longer regular book. I still say (I've posted this before) that this story could have been the same contest in "Fire" but with added memories from sitting experiences. I also would have loved reading the final entry Kristy put together including the Charges' testimonials. The "Friends Forever" could then have been all about 9th grade (if not more years) at SHS.

I can't decide. My gut says Kristy, but I like that it ended with Mary Anne, even though I didn't love the book. I agree that a super special would have been good after book 130. Kristy could be the main narrator and it could be about graduating middle school.

I have no problem with Mary Anne having the last book. Though a super special being the last book does sound interesting.

Maybe it could have been something like, They Babysitter's Goodbye? Kind of like The Babysitter's Remember...

Kristy, I guess, to end how it began. I don't think a super special was necessary to wrap things up since Friends Forever didn't start a new chapter in their lives. You can argue all you want about wasted storyline potential, but FF as it was given to us didn't need anything special leading up to it.

i think it should have been kristy. in the beginning it was stressed that the club was "hers" more than anyone else's and that was sort of lost as the series went on, but i always consider it hers. it should end when kristy said so.

If the club ended when Kristy said so, then the club (and the series) would've lasted a lot longer than it did.

Kristy I guess, although I was happy with MA too. Kristy did also have 100.

Kristy I guess, although I was happy with MA too. Kristy did also have 100. Very true. She also had Kristy at Bat, which was just a couple of books before the end one. Although they have given some girls books maybe 4 or 5 books later (I'm thinking about Claudia in particular. 97, 101 - and also MA, 25, 30, 34).

Kristy, to have a nice bookend with the first book, Kristy's Great Idea. Though I like your idea, VirgoScorpio, that it was good for it to be MA because she was the last original sitter to get a book. (That surprised me. I'd thought it would go in order of joining the club/importance of officer's job. Like Kristy was first because she was president and then Claud next as V.P. and I'm not sure if secretary is more important than treasurer but they always talk about how MA had the hardest job and I just thought she'd get the third book before Stacey. I also kind think K, MA and C were a club before Stacey joined (even though they hadn't really OFFICIALLY started yet) so maybe that's why I thought MA'd be third.

^ I thought the same, but I guess they wanted to introduce Stacey sooner?

^ I agree. And I also think it might have been because Claudia and Stacey were more interesting characters for Ann, since Mary Anne was based so much on Ann herself. I can see it being more interesting to write about a character totally different from yourself first.
