Is there a post for this somewhere? I'm curious to know what is the first BSC book you ever read? It could be any book from the Babysitter's franchise.
Mine is New York, New York. My sister -- who is a year older than me -- began reading the BSC before me. And I remember seeing her reading that Super Special book and I was really curious about it. So I asked her if I could read it, and with hesitation, she said, "OK. But don't get into it because it's MY THING. You can only read one."
Obviously, I was hooked. It was like Lay's potato chips. I couldn't read just one!

Mine was "Mary Anne Saves The Day!", I went to the the library one day and read the book there instead of taking it home. But my cousin(who's a year older than me) used to be a big fan of the series gave me her entire books and that's when my obsession got started.

Kristy's great idea. My mom enrolled me in the BSC book club and I got three a month.

It's either California Giirls or Mallory and the Mystery Diary. It's probably California Giirls.

I can't really remember, but for some reason I think it may have been Logan Likes Mary Anne, or perhaps Claudia and Mean Janine.

I don't remember exactly, but it was one of the first 20. I think they were only in the mid 30s when I started.

I can't really remember either...it might have been Mary Anne and the Great Romance... On first glance I thought the thread title was "The best BSC book you EVER read"

Mine was Mary Anne vs Logan, which thoroughly confused me. They had stopped print when I started, but now I collect them. The first ones I read were my older sisters, she's thirteen years older then me and had most of them but my parents gave them away

Well, the first bsc related book I read was Karen's Ducklings. I got it from the scholastic book order thing. The first actual BSC book i remember reading was California Girls

I can't remember for sure. I know it was a super special because my friend at her house (oddly enough, it was in their bathroom). It seems like it was California Girls, but that could be completely wrong. I was in 5th or 6th grade, so it was around 1994. Was that book published yet?

If we're including BSC related then it was Karen's Witch, 1st edition, brand new from the bookstore.
