I've been on a mystery kick lately and saw these ads in the back of Mary Anne and the Secret in the Attic that just cracked me up... For the 1993 calendar: "Two full pages of brand-new stickers for special events -- cakes, smiley faces, hearts and more! Adorable pictures of the Baby-sitters doing their favorite things as babies! Full-color illustrations including each Baby-sitter in their birthday month! A wipe-off memo board to re-use again and again!" The sitters as babies sound HILARIOUS, but each sitter with their birth month sounds cool and so does the memo board... The student planner and date book for 92-93: "It has 144 pages so you can fill in your assignments, notes, school schedules, addresses, phone numbers...PLUS brand-new messages, tips, recipes and more from the Baby-sitters themselves!" Basically, I'm just super sad I don't have this stuff. I also always wanted a BSC camera they advertised one time. Bullfrogs! Did anyone ever get any of these things? Tell

I would have loved to see the sitters as babies, too. I now also wish I had been younger (or more aware) in the BSC heyday and had been aware of the various offers and fan clubs. I would have subscribed! Maybe we could start our own line somehow? Just for us, of course, not to sell in the "real" world outside of this forum or for profit just for our own enjoyment. If we ever have a meet up we should definitely make (iron on) T shirts.

I have all five of the calendars. I've also got the 1990-91 Student Planner & Date Book, and some stationery and buttons. I've had all of those things since I was a kid, but I really need to get some more BSC stuff on eBay.

I'm not sure how I feel about all the fan club type merchandise. It's like they were trying to convince us that the girls were real people.

^Isn't that why the girls' were the best friends you'll ever have?" We know how most of the books have sections that are talking to "us" instead of more directly to the characters involved in the scene.

I really, really, really wish I had all of that stuff. I only had the later fan club, that came with the camera, pencils, photo book, poster, etc. The poster was cool -- I remember one half being the photo from Sea City Here We Come with stats of the girls on the side. Of course, I had it up on my wall for a long time. But I agree that the calendars and the baby photos sound awesome. I wish someone could post what they're like!

The drawings of the sitters as young kids that appear in the scrapbook pages at the back of the new-cover books are the "baby photos" from the calendar. There are a bunch of pictures in the calendars that don't appear on any of the book covers, though. And some of the book cover illustrations that have nothing to do with the plot of the book they're on are like that because they were actually calendar illustrations painted much earlier, and later Scholastic just slapped them on a cover more or less at random. The roller skating on the cover of Mary Anne Misses Logan would be the most obvious example.

I had the 1993 calendar and sort of remember the stickers. I just remember the BSC block logo ones, and possibly their headshots. Later on, my best friend who subscribed to the BSC monthly package would give me merchandise she didn't want (I could have ordered it but didn't want doubles of books I already had) and that came with stickers too, including images on book covers as well as sitters. Dawn's Big Move was in my calendar before the book was released, but Mary Anne had long hair and not short hair like the book. I liked the image of all 7 club members where Mary Anne had on an orange top with green pants and so forth. There were BSC bookmarks with images of each member too in 1992/93 from books 48 through 54 or something like that too that had a profile of each member. I don't know WTF I've done with all this stuff, I probably threw it out by accident, but now I want them!

I liked the image of all 7 club members where Mary Anne had on an orange top with green pants and so forth. I was looking through my calendars the last time I posted in this thread, and when I saw that picture, I was thinking, Aw, everyone else looks so nice and Mary Anne's face and hair look so nice, but why does the poor girl have to be dressed like a giant carrot? An upside down carrot, I guess, but still.

I would have loved to have some of the stuff. I was never able to join the fan club, but I always loved the look of the stuff in the ads.

Again, I REALLY wish I could even see some of this stuff. I'm especially interested in the calendars. Too bad they don't have any images available online. I remember searching for it before without luck. I guess you could come across something like this on ebay but I bet it's extremely rare

I had a couple of the calendars. I had the one with pictures of the girls as babies - Claudia was painting and Kristy was riding a tricycle. I also had a calendar that had pictures of each girl with all her family members. Don't remember what year that one was.
