Howdy everyone! I hope you all have a beautiful Easter weekend. So I've started my own blog in the New Year. I am getting the site re-designed, so I was going to wait and show everyone once it was fully finished. But I need your help so I thought I would go ahead and share it now. robertandjoseph.blogspot.comWhat would make me really smile is it you all bookmarked the page and visited everyday. I would really, really appreciate your support. I will make it worth your while with something beautiful and inspirational posted each day. BUT I NEED YOUR HELP! I'm having issues with a name. I was originally going to use my own name "Robert Joseph" but I don't think it's very original. I then decided on "The Creative Gent" which I am not too sure about. I know you are all a creative bunch, and was wondering if you thought of any cheeky, catchy blog names? Enjoy - and let me know your thoughts!

It might help you to write down the main ideas of your blog. I think it's the kind of thing you have to name yourself. The name of my blog seems pretty obvious to me, but it's very meaningful to me on a personal level and encapsulates what the whole point of my blog is. You may want to go back and read some quotes about design that inspire you, etc. So far I see that your main goal is beauty/design + inspiration + daily. What does this mean to you? What do you, specifically, bring to the table that other blogs of a similar nature don't have? I think then you'll come upon the perfect name.

Waaa! I'm still stuck, greer - help! I tried following your advice and thought about it all day and night but I can't think of anything. For someone who considers himself creative, I've definitely come up with a road block.
The names I was considering before were: robert&joseph (my name, but then people might think I'm 2 different people) or The Creative Gent.

Well, with the Creative Gent, I think that it seems more like a personal blog or a blog just for men, and I think your blog is gender-neutral.

I actually like the name Robert & Joseph; it sounds like a fancy clothing brand! But yeah, it would give the impression that the blog is run by two people.

Greer you wrote a beautiful reply above. I don't have blog experience but if you like Robert Joseph what about "RJ Reflections?" RJR. Almost like BB&B. (Bed, Bath, and Beyond).

I'll admit I'm pretty bad at thinking up titles for things! I'm trying to get a blog off the ground myself, just as a hobby. I mostly want to write about life in Michigan, but I'm not sure exactly what direction I want to go with it...I think I want to use it to write about places I visit around the state, as a way to remember them, and to show pictures. I wanted the title to be about Michigan somehow, but had trouble thinking of something that didn't sound generic or completely boring. I finally settled on "Three Sides Surrounded." This site had some good advice about choosing a name: www.chrisg.com/catchy-blog-names/If anyone cares to peek at my fledgling blog, it's threesidessurrounded.blogspot.com . I only have one post so far, though, so it's nothing too spectacular right now! I'm still deciding on how frequently I want to update, and what I want to post about next.

Thanks for all of your feedback. I really, really appreciate it!
^ I joined your blog. I liked the name you picked because it's fitting to the state of Michigan. I grew up in Canada, right across from Port Huron!
I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I found a name: SEPTEMBER & SUN. It's personal to me because I love September. My birthday is in September (so it could be a play on sun/son). I also love weather, months, seasons, etc.

Thank you for following my blog! I want to follow yours but the link here is not working anymore. You must be tweaking a few things before putting it back up?
I like the title you've settled on!

Hey virgo, I am following your blog, but it doesn't update for me in Google Reader. If I go directly to the URL from Google Reader, it still doesn't work. I'm not sure why. I like your posts. Will you come to my house and decorate it?

Thanks for pointing that out, M. I am guessing it might be because I changed my blog name recently. I'm also noticing that my feeds aren't updating on Google Reader. By chance, do you - or anyone else - know how to fix them? I've tried Googling and it's not helping much

Looks like it's working! I'm on Google reader right now and all the posts I hadn't been getting from your blog have come through.
