Another popular one is "Believe it or not..." I actually think that even Ann herself uses this a lot! Ha, I haven't noticed that ;D ... I don't think that would bother me as much as all the "You see-ing"

Just saw a thank you to Jahana and Malcom in another book. I think they are actually two of my favorite ghost writers. Have they written anything else? Are they married or a couple or just write together?

Doyou guys think that the publishers decided who would write which book based on who they felt would give it the best "voice," or was it probably random?
*** I was wondering this myself...

I always thought it was random...or maybe the ghostwriters were part of coming up with the ideas for plots, and they wrote books that they thought up.

That's a really good questoin. I am really curious to find out more about the ghostwriting process but doubt we'd ever be able to find out. ;D

I doubt the publishers put that much thought into it, especially considering the voice of the ghostwriter comes through more clearly than the voice of the sitter (for example, a Peter Lerangis-written, Stacey-narrated book sounds more similar to a PL-written, Jessi-narrated book than a Stacey book that AMM wrote).

Wow, I didn't know Suzanne Weyn wrote YA books now! She was one of the best ghostwriters - had "juicy" plots ;D

What BSC books did she write? Did she write LS too? I've read some of her YA books and didn't care much for them. I was surprised as I had high hopes with her being a BSC author. ;D

Hee, I love Peter. His books are everything I love about reading the BSC today... the ZOMGMELODRAMA!, the fighting, delightfully delusional Stacey (ok I can't think of what else besides Stacey's Big Crush but that was just a masterwork of delusional teen crush mindset)

I haven't read too many of Suzanne Weyn's books but I liked her book in the "Once Upon a Time" series (A re-telling of the frog prince. I know most people didn't like it but I usually enjoy stories that take place in WW1) and her new one coming out "Reincarnation" looks really interesting. The Bar Code Tatooe series was also a fun junk novel. It looks like it's hit or miss (at least IMHO) for Suzzanne Weyn, and she mostly wrote 'Stacey' books which I usually enjoyed the most. A lot are the really late books that I never really read (I was going in and out after #100 and finally stopped reading them after about 120 or so)
It also looks like she wrote a handfull of the FF series, which I never read...
Dawn's Big Date (which I love) Mallory Hate Boys (And Gym) - (Another one I love) Jessi and the Awful Secret (I don't care for 'very special episodes...' in the BSC novels so this one is only eh IMO) Jessi and the Bad Babysitter Claudia and the Perfect Boy Stacey's Lie (I really like this one for a later book) Mallory Pike #1 Fan (I'm half half on this one) Dawn and the School Spirit War (LOL, I love the over-the-top of this one) Farewell Dawn Stacey McGill Super Sitter Stacey's Broken Heart Abby's Twin Stacey's Secret Friend The Secret Life of Mary Anne Spier Stacey's Ex-Boyfriend Abby in Wonderland Kristy in Charge Claudia's Big Party Mary Anne in the Middle Claudia and the Little Liar Stacey's Movie
