^ Thanks for the list. Looks like Suzanne did write some of my favorite BSC books but actually a lot of these are some of my least favorites. Maybe that's why I don't like her YA books. Did Johanna and Malcom write anything else other than BSC? I actually like a lot of their BSC ones. Ellen Miles, too.

My problem with Nola is that she gave away the plots of other books. More than once, a plot of a book I hadn't read yet was spoiled because Nola referred to it in another. I remember not wanting to read Kristy for President because I'd read the outcome in another book. Same with Claudia and the Great Search and Mystery Money. Thanks a lot, Nola!

Heh, that was my favorite part about Nola. She was the only one who sounded like she knew something about the series. Although I never really checked to see if she only referenced to other books she had written, or if she paid attention to the other writers. I like the thought of one of the ghostwriters being a fan and keeping up with the stories.

Sometimes it felt like her references to other books were a little forced, like she was trying to prove how much she knew about the other books. At least she tried, though.

I can't tell the ghostwriters apart, except for Peter Lerangis. My favorite ghostwriters are Peter Lerangis, Suzanne Weyn and Ellen Miles the best. And I agree with everyone who posted on how they liked that Nola Thacker referred to other books.

I've noticed that Ellen Miles really likes Charlie! In the mysteries he is nothing but kind, smart, helpful, good with little kids. Haha.
ETA: I didn't notice that this was in yesterday's news! I just searched for threads about the ghostwriters ;D

I am obsessed with ghostwriters. I always look at the front of a BSC book whether it is ghostwritten or not. Of course I prefer Ann M. Martin's writing, I do like certain ghostwriters. Peter Lerangis. I have a love-hate relationship with him. He is humorous, sometimes over the top. He perfectly describes a teenage girl. (Stacey's Big Crush and Kristy + Bart = ? are great examples). But the voices for the sitters are very similar especially Kristy and Stacey which I find odd as they're opposites. Oh, and PL adds references that were actually popular in the 90s, not just Wizard of Oz and I Love Lucy. Ellen Miles. She is all right. She does write a lot of my favorite books. I noticed that she wrote a lot of Claudia books. Suzanne Wyen or however you spell it. I don't have much of an opinion of her really. Nola Thacker. I have a love-hate relationship as well. I hate how she tells the readers about other books. That is very annoying. She seemed to write a lot of Mary Anne books and the Friends Forever books. She did write a lot of my fave books, too, so... I don't know which ghostwriter is the one that is constantly being dramatic. Get this, believe it or not, gasp!, etc. Really ridiculous after a while. Also the "you see" is way overwritten... I do wish Ann did write all of the books, though it'd be impossible. I just like her writing the best. Oh, well. I always thought she wrote them all herself until about middle school and online somewhere a reader asks Ann if it's true the books were ghostwritten. At first, I pictured dead people writing them. I figured it out eventually though. Lol.
