When you reached 8th grade, which baby sitter was it the most similar to and why? You can name more than one if you want. Personally, I don't think I had an identical one to anyone, but certain similarities were there I think I was the most like Stacey. I did really, really well in math that year for the most part, 3rd highest in the class. Also, though I always cared about clothes and was quirky in style before, even making self-made jewelry (like claudia), I think that year I was coming into my own and liked to wear stylish casual tops with jeans and had a cool haircut, and it was like Stacey and Mary Anne's style. I still wore glasses for a little while, and they were big like mallory's, but I got contacts that year!!! And though I always loved music, middle school was the time I was forming attachments to several favourite artists I liked more than others, the way Stacey liked u4me. So final answer, Stacey! I think someone I hung out with was way more like her or even Laine though, and I found I was hanging with her and her friend in favour of friends I had for years, cause I couldn't relate to them anymore, and sadly lost good friendships though we would talk again years later. I don't think I was popular at school though I wished I was . Should have just been proud of myself for my geekiness, I appreciated it post-high school

Mine was probably the most similar to Mary Anne because I was very quiet, unathletic and bookish. I didn't have a boyfriend, though!

I skip 8th grade. No, I wasn't smart like Karen. But, after I was done with 7th grade. We move to different street. I had do test. To see, if I should be in 8th grade or 9th grade. After the test. They told me, I can go to 9th grade. I skip a grade.
So, I'm mostly like Mary Anne. I'm shy.

I guess I was a mixture - to the common person I was probably like Mary Anne (shy, quiet, sweet), to my friends I was probably just plain quirky like what I believe Claudia's personality would be and wasn't so quiet. I was also a little like Mallory because I was always making up stories or trying to write.
We were an odd little bunch...I remember my friends and I that year gave ourselves all nicknames and Gwen names ... which was something my friend Cari made up as alternative names. So my nickname was Sari Bre, but I was also called Chrissy, the name she gave me - and her alternative name was Genevieve.
Um...yeah and while I did not have a boyfriend I was in love with my best friend at the time so I guess having the lasting feelings for the same person would be kinda a MA thing...we also made up a list and everytime a guy would talk to us or we would get a crush on them or they had a crush on us or we accidentally fell on their lap (happened to me-embarrassing!) they would get added to our list and someone would randomly yell out the number - I got up to 9. haha

I would imagine that my 8th grade experience would have been the most like Mallory's, if she ever got there. I had her 6th grade volleyball experience in 8th, although I didn't bench myself. As for the sitters who DID reach 8th grade, probably Mary Anne, minus Logan.

volleyball was hell in the junior grades like with mallory and the way she was hit in the face, I got that with a basketball in 6th grade

I had Mallory's volleyball experience in 9th grade gym. It wasn't nearly as bad for me, though, because my best friend was on the same team with me and we were equally bad!

I think gym was horrible for everyone in middle school! I got hit in the face with a dodgeball by a guy - and somehow I got in trouble for it! I glanced behind me really quick to make sure I wasn't backing into someone, and when I turned my face back, I got hit. The teacher told me I should have been looking. Gee, thanks. I remember it really hurt - I had imprints of the ball on my face!
I'm not sure who I was most like. That year was weird for me because my best friend and I stopped being friends. I remember liking math a lot in 8th grade, so maybe I was kind of like Stacy. But I was NOT fashionable at all and I wasn't popular. I did have a huge crush on someone though.

My whole answer disappeared after I wrote it. Gah. Anyway. Family wise I was a Stacey/Dawn. My parents split up, and my mom and I moved out a month before my 14th birthday. My mom had never lived alone, so she was kinda like Maureen finding herself. My dad kept the house and the brother, hence the Dawn angle. Personally I was a Logan-free Mary Anne/Pre-Jessi Mallory. Very quiet, with the cat, a loner, had the "school friends" but wasn't close to anyone. That still all describes me, but it sounds less depressing now.

^ I forgot about the family/home life aspect of things. My parents divorced the summer after 8th grade, and there was a lot of tension in the house for years beforehand. I think that makes me more of a Dawn. There was a lot more yelling and fighting in Stacey's family, from what I remember.

^ I forgot about my home life, too! My parents divorced when I was in 7th grade though. My brother did live with my dad for a short time when I was in 7th or 8th grade. Guess that kind of makes me a Dawn, too. I didn't have to move, though. My dad moved (in with his girlfriend, that is!).

I guess mine would be Ma b/c my dad died when I was young so it was just me and my mom. I did have a Mimi though b/c we lived with my grandmother. My mom was super overprotective of me as we'll which turned out bad in the long run as Iade her life hell in high school...I could see ma doing that too!

She started doing it in FF, kind of For me it would be Mallory and the whole Spaz Girl thing, even though she was in 6th grade at the time. Home-life wise, I guess maybe Dawn/Stacey, because my mom didn't remarry but my dad did, and he had 2 more kids. My sister and I have the same age difference as Dawn and Gracie.

I had an amazing 8th grade year, probably one of the best school years of my life. I went to an amazing school, our class was pretty tight, I played viola, I was on the volleyball team and did the announcements every morning and was the head speaker at our graduation. (It makes it seem like my school life was all amazing and it wasn't really like that, high-school wasn't as easy for me). But with that being said, I'm having a difficult time finding an answer. Maybe a mixture of Mary Anne, Stacey, Kristy and Mallory? That's a lot of girls, haha, but I find it difficult to mesh your personal experiences into something related to the BSC characters...
Home life... maybe Dawn? My parents weren't together (they were never married) and my sister and I were raised by our Grandparents, and lived with them. But my Dad was re-married by this point and in my 8th grade year he had his 2nd kid (apart from me). So there's a huge age difference between me and these stepsiblings (11-13+ years) so I can relate to greer in that way.

My family was most like Claudia's, and I was most like Mary Anne with some of Mal--quiet, not into sports, good in school and especially loved reading and writing.
