This threads blowing all my American Christmas food stereotypes out the window! Mac and cheese? I would never have guessed.

Kylie, what kinds of stereotypical foods were you thinking of? I'm curious because American food varies so much from region to region.

My mom does a big breakfast on Christmas morning - scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, homemade bread, sticky buns - and since it's so big, we don't usually do much for Christmas lunch or dinner. More or less we'll just snack later in the day if we get hungry. My grandmother LOVED our Christmas breakfast and would talk about it all the time to her friends - I honestly think she looked forward to it all year long! She passed away this year, so Christmas breakfast is going to feel very differently this year, especially since at last year's breakfast we would never have guessed it would be her last one.
