The Baby-Sitters Club books will soon be on e-Books by December 2012, according to the Official The Baby-Sitters Club Facebook Page. Fans would get a chance to download all original covers by Hugh Soileau in e-Books format.: www.facebook.com/thebabysittersclub?sk=app_411407218922206PS: If this isn't appropriated, let me know and I'll delete it!.

It says books 1-20. Ann's gonna just keep making the bucks until she dies. I wonder if her estate will go to her cats when she does...

LOL! I saw this today, too. I think it's interesting how it says the old artwork - but many of these look like the updated artwork Hodges did for the earlier series with the old plain coloured backgrounds (minus the sitter's individual patterns on the side). I did download the Babysitter's Club app on my Facebook!

I am sad that its not the old artwork. I LOVE the first 7 original covers, back when the girls looked like 12 year olds, not 30 year olds. Also sad that its the easy to find ones that are being released on e-books. #1-20 are in every thrift store it seems like. But any BSC news is good news. And maybe one step closer to a reunion?!?!?
Just took the "favorite baby-sitter poll" after 26 years Stacey is still the favorite. I picked her because she was my favorite as a kid. As an adult I might like Kristy or Mallory better, but I couldn't decide.

I like that the BSC will be available in a new way to a new generation of readers, but I don't know that I'll ever get into ebooks. There's just something about holding the actual object and turning actual pages that I'd miss.

Any BSC news is good news. But I agree that the rest should be released in E-book format. Also do you know if the ebooks will be free?

I highly doubt they will be free. I feel like they will HAVE to be pretty cheap though since you can go buy them for 99ยข at pretty much any store that sells used books. Why would you pay more than that for a copy you can't even hold in your hands? And have lined up on a shelf in a wonderful collection (that is not just me right? Other people like to be able to look at their books?)

ITA Starrynight. I much prefer to actually hold a book. Maybe I'm really "old" fashioned because I also prefer VHS tapes to DVD's. Sort of like a physical book, with a tape, it is so much easier to "pause" or "rewind" than it is with a DVD or I'm guessing e-book. On the other hand, if e-readers encourage a new BSC generation and younger folks to read in general than more power to them.

There's just something about holding the actual object and turning actual pages that I'd miss. I can relate to this. That's why I am hesitant to get into kindle. I think I'll miss touching actual pages. I also like playing with the book sometimes whilst reading.
