Does anyone else feel like they need to take notes when they are reading the books to keep track of all things they want to talk about later on these message boards? I am always like "Oh I can't believe what just happened, did she seriously say that?" and then when I get on the boards I can't remember a single one of them and end up not posting.

I did that a few nights ago, Rachel! Cool that you have thought about it, also. I've also been known to do a super fast "re-read" before posting or after reading through a book thread. Welcome aboard, I look forward to your "notes!"

Um, I'm doing that right now, lol. I'm reading the portrait books for the first time and decided to read them all before posting about them. So, be warned, people. I've got some long, detailed posts coming your way soon.

I take notes sometimes too! Especially since almost every single book's thread has pages and pages of already discussed topics, so it can be hard to come up with something undiscussed. Taking notes helps me remember if I find something new.

I don't take notes. I usually can remember what I wanted to discuss here and have the book(s) with me so I could look it up in case that I forgot what I wanted to talk about.

I don't take notes because then I would get obsessive and never stop. Usually if I'm reading and I think of something I want to post about, I just take the book to my computer and post about it. If I'm too lazy to write a post right then, I figure that either I'll remember it to post about it later, or I won't, and that's okay. Usually I do remember, though.

I actually just found some notes I took, lol, so the answer is yes! I made a couple of notes some months ago about Kristy and the Haunted Mansion, and redheads in the BSC. I believe I did post about both

I don't take notes, but I read back in the threads to make sure I'm not repeating myself and posting the same thoughts I already posted months (or years) ago. Or, like wanderingfrog, I'll grab my copy of the book and write a post while my thoughts are fresh.

It took me a month, but I finally got around to finishing the portraits and typing everything up. I probably shouldn't take notes anymore because I pretty much wrote a book report for each one. Sorry! Haha.

^ No, they were fun to read though. I could tell you were reading them fresh and it was nice to see through your perspective!

Not with BSC cause a lot of the descriptive words stick with me and jog my memory. Now if I was working, that's a whole different story

Yes, I do this when something notable happens that I know I want to comment on! Usually, though, by the time I get to the thread to post, it's already been discussed 5x. I'm always amazed at the memory some of you guys have. Like somebody will post "which book was it when <insert random event> happened?" and immediately somebody has the answer, no matter how insignificant the event was!
