I'm surprised at how much I like the portrait collections. Abby's was really good, I loved reading about her and Anna. I guess because I have a twin as well, it made me laugh when she said everyone says to them "Oh you must be twins!!" cause that stuff gets reeeally old. They were cute though, my sister and i definitely fought more than they did. Their teacher was seriously dumb though. Telling them to wear one color EVERY DAY and nothing else?! WTF? I can't believe their parents even agreed to that.
Reading about her dad dying was really sad. It was sad that after 4 years her mother still hadn't moved on enough and felt she had to move.

Heh, I knew twins who actually had color coded belongings. But I never had a problem telling them apart and always assumed they just liked those colors. It was probably more a way of telling apart their belongings than for other people to tell them apart. That's a dumb way to teach the kids.
This was a good one. It made me want to read about how she joined the club in more detail, which led me to the wrong book (Welcome to the BSC, Abby). But yeah, I thought all the portraits were pretty well written.

I thought it was ridiculous that while the girls didn't want to be known as the Red one or the Blue one, they were happy to be differentiated (dunno if that's a word!) by their hair length. They complained that their teacher didn't REALLY know they were different, she just knew the colors were different. But couldn't the same thing be said about long and short hair? I liked this one, now that I finally got a copy. The chapters with the dad were quite sad.

Yeah, I thought it was strange too how Abby & Anna's parents went along with the color coding thing. "You want me to color code my children? Sure, why not?"

Abby's parents did seem a little strange though... well, not the dad so much, but there always seemed something a little off about the mum. I suppose if a teacher legitimately couldn't tell the kids apart, something would have to be done at least for a while. I don't know about color coding though! When I was in school, twins were always placed in seperate classes, although maybe at this school there was only one class for each year.

I really loved this PC! I loved every chapter in it, and usually there'll be a chapter of a PC that I don't like. The stuff with their Dad is really sad.

Was reluctant to read as am usually not an Abby fan but I really enjoyed learning more about her. Reading how she and Anna were seen as one person was really interesting and gave me some insight into Abby's personality. I now wonder if she tries so hard to be funny (what bugs me about her) to assert her individuality and differentiate herself from Anna - the more serious, studious one. Reading about their dad dying almost made me cry. I was feeling irritated with my own dad before reading this and after I did, I wanted to run downstairs and give him a hug and tell him I loved him. Sometimes the books really make you think. Also, loved Abby's house in the picture - wouldn't mind living there For some reason, though, I always picture Abby as living in a tiny house and everyone else in the neighborhood in mansions.

i really liked reading abby's portrait. i also have a twin (but we're not identical) and we have the same birthday as abby and anna. i thought it was stupid that they had to be color coded when they didn't care that much if people called them the wrong. i always answers to my sisters name.

Much as I don't like Mrs. Stevenson, it was definitely sad that she hadn't moved on after four years w/o Jonathan. He must have been one awesome father and husband. I always feel really bad for Abby in those chapters about his death. It's a really good portrait, made me more inclined to like the "new" club member when I read it. I also thought Anna naming her chapters after musical terms was nice.

I think I might like Abby more than a lot of BSC fans BECAUSE I read her portrait before I read many Abby books. Her portrait makes her very likeable and you have to sympathize with her. It's hard to be super annoyed with her in regular books when I've read this before so many of them you know?

i really liked reading abby's portrait. i also have a twin (but we're not identical) and we have the same birthday as abby and anna. That's really cool. My boyfriend has the same birthday as Abby and Anna, too, but he doesn't have a twin. My dad has the same birthday as Stacey.

Ahh I want to share a b-day with a BSC member. I'm closest to Stacey's b-day (mine's April 24th). I could always relate to her desire to own a diamond

Well, you don't share a birthday with a BSC member... but you share a birthday with ME! My birthday is April 24, too!
P. S. That actually puts us closer to Mallory's birthday, which is May 2.

I have to admit, I actually cried out loud when I read the chapter when their dad died. At that time, it was one of the saddest things I had read.

Wait when is Stacey's b-day? I thought it was 4/20. Is it the 10th or something? Or wait is it the 4th?!
