Not sure if this is still going on, but I would love to read one, though fictional about each one.
Mallory's should include:
How she got into drawing (was it class? extra curricular? on her own?)
Being jealous of her younger siblings when very young until realizing she could help
something about when she first learned how to read or when
an untold story with a bsc member when she was 10
something about obsessive book collecting and allowance
Jessi:
What made her want to dance (ballet)

I don't know why I thought that back then, but here are my ideas:
Mallory's Portrait: Her first memories including compulsive scribbling with crayons from trying to draw and headaches from so many screaming kids!
The time when Vanessa first moved into her room and making her be the one to introduce her to poetry for kids
Getting chicken pox for the first time (just to compare and cause Mallory always got sick!)
A NYC trip to see the Macy's Thanksgiving parade and then meeting with family for dinner
How she felt when meeting Ben Hobart and developing insecurities all over again about her braces despite their similarities (possibly touching on narcissism)
Will type jessi later

Ok here is Jessi:
First memories can include being with her parents and remember them playing rock and roll records or something (reference to how Jessi once said she tried ordering some classics from a catalogue but it was a rip off cover band. We never heard about her music interests besides Ballet, and she was never into dance/hip hop the way she was in Stacey takes a stand at all)
How she first got into Ballet: Going to see the Nutcracker at Christmas, wanting to dance and loving it from there on, I believe it was age 4. This story should be tied into the time of Becca's birth though I know they are 3 years apart and not 4.
Something fun in the elementary school years that includes fun times with her cousin Keisha, maybe a school day trip to New York City and something involving pen pals, similar to Karen and Maxie or the Zuni Pen Pals. Aunt Cecilia can make an appearance and get overprotective about them going cause of her grief playing a part (poor aunt cece)
I think some kind of neighbourhood mystery would be funny, the way Karen finds herself doing that and for the fact that she only got one BSC Mystery book and the fabulous Jessi and the Dance School Phantom book. I always liked her mysteries.
A story towards the end of her elementary years just before coming to Stoneybrook about how similar to Mallory she is but we never hear it. Before her character development, she also wore glasses, had braces and loved horse stories when she first appeared. Something about her insecurities we have never heard before intertwined with what we already know would make for a good plot, but with a happy ending: making friends in stoneybrook, so a bit of it tying into hello mallory including a plot between the two the series never covered eg. during the time the older members were in NYC during Stacey's Mistake.

She works out to a 60s rock and roll tape in the Shadow Lake SS...Diana Ross, I think. She plays the 50s song "Chains of Love" in Winter Vacation.

That is sooo neat and a great idea! I wish they had done portrait books on Jessi and Mallory's lives. |
