I've been reading about the sitters' adventures in Sea City lately, and I'm just curious as to which of the three books set there is the most popular. I need to finish all three before I can make up my mind.

Good summer question. :)I am reading "Karen's Lemonade Stand right now." Maybe tomorrow I will also start reading all 3 Sea City books. I think the first is my very favorite simply because it endeared Sea City to me and was so much fun (minus Stacey not doing her share of the sitting). I enjoyed reading about the miniature golf though lol I'm glad I wasn't waiting for Claire to take 20+ strokes and of course loved the trips to Ice Cream Palace and just the shops. I still would love to take a vacation to Sea City. It seemed like it had the beautiful ocean with both tranquil and more active areas along with the touristy yet charming sounding (to me) fun spots of the boardwalk. I enjoyed MA and Too Many Boys for the very sweet MA and Vanessa friendship. I did like the snowbound sort of feel of "Sea City, Here We Come." Mrs. Barrett had her shining moment to me when she sang "Davy Crockett with Buddy." I look forward to everyone's replies. P.S. I didn't much like the LS Sea City book of "Karen's Mermaid." In fact it was most disappointing because I had hoped it would feature at least one BSC member or be more of a Little House family vacation sort of the way "Magic Garden" was. Instead it was mainly Margo and Nicky playing tricks on Karen.

Hmm, I think I like the Super Special the best because we get all those different views, although I do love Boy-Crazy Stacey. Not too crazy about Too Many Boys.

I'd say Boy Crazy Stacey because it's the one that started it all. Sea City was new and fresh in that book and it was entertaining to watch Stacey act like a dumb-bum.

Probably the super special one but I have to reread all of them to be sure.

It was a tough call between "Mary Anne and Too Many Boys" and "Sea City, Here We Come," but I think the Super Special wins in the end. I could have done without the Karen, Buddy, and Margo chapters, though!

Boy Crazy Stacey. I haven't read the super special "Sea City, Here We Come."

I just finished re-reading all three of these books and for me hands down. "Boy Crazy, Stacey," it's simple and so much fun. Sea City is brand new to us and definitely made and still does me want to go there on vacation. I could have done without some of the Stacey drama but this time around I really did feel for her at the end with Scott. She reminded me of the time she was so upset by Kristy's news of Sam having gone out with the girl with the no finger gloves. Stacey often strikes me as not the nicest of people but in this I wanted to give her a hug. "MA and Too Many Boys," and "Sea City, Here We Come," don't hold quite the same endearing factor that the first did. I still love the MA/Vanessa scenes in "Too Many Boys," and do wish we had heard of MA and Vanessa talking again. The super special did have some funny moments particularly at the Stones' farm. I will always love when Buddy and his mom sing Davy Crockett--finally Mrs. Barrett moment I really loved. I do agree with all of you have had said this super special tried to do too much. I also wish it had all taken place in Sea City, with simply the hurricane as the subplot. I still, always will, love the idea of Sea City and think it would make the most perfect place for a board meet up.

I liked the feel of both BCS and MAATMB, but voted for MAATMB. I wish at least one of them hadn't had Stacey being so unlikable! I think I liked reading about Mary Anne and Alex, and also the fact that Mal was now a sitter, so it was 3 of the BSC members on vacation. I also loved the cover of MAATMB so much when I was little, and I remember looking at it over and over. I think it represented everything about how I pictured teenagerdom would be (vacations with friends! beach parties with boys!).

^ You and me both! Too Many Boys was also one of the first BSC books I ever owned, which gives it a lot of nostalgic value in my world.

Me three it wasn't one of my first books, though. I do believe it was one of the best-selling BSC books ever, though.

I chose Boy-Crazy Stacey. It introduced Sea City to us and made it sound like such a fun, exciting place.

Sea City, Here We Come because there was less of Stacey acting like a boy crazy bimbo in that one.

I recently did a reread of Boy Crazy Stacey and I love it more the second time around.
