I really don't understand why Jessi and Mallory only get to star in one mystery book each, compared to the other members. I know they are junior members, but since hey already had a book each, why stop?

I always thought the same thing. I would have liked more for them. Of course, I would have just liked more BSC books

Yeah it's even more amusing that Abby had more mysteries than them ;D Although Mallory did have Mallory and the Mystery Diary and Jessi had Jessi and the Dance School Phantom from the regular series....

I liked the Mallory and Jessi mysteries from the regular series more than I did in the mystery series for some reason.

My very favorite BSC book was Mallory and the Mystery Diary but I liked Ghost Cat pretty well. I'm just getting ready to reread Jessi and the Dance School Phantom but liked it pretty well the first time I read it. Also didn't mind Jessi's mystery from the mystery series - her and Quint freaking out over something that was almost obviously not real was pretty funny.

Jessi's mystery wasn't even a mystery! Hardly, anyway. Red and Frank weren't even real criminals. It was like a twist on the "I woke up and it was all a dream!" scenario. Cop out!

I do think Mystery Diary and Phantom were somewhat better than their actual mysteries...ugh, how unfair that Abby got more than they did. I think more Mal mysteries would have been entertaining, since she seemed like such an eager sleuth.

I agree, I think more Mal mysteries would have been cool. Mystery diary was one of the first books I read and I liked it a lot.

Jessi totally got crapped on with mysteries. Hers was one of the worst mysteries in the whole bunch! Mal's was good, I liked Ghost Cat and I really loved the Crane girls - so cute.

It sucks that Mal and Jessi only got one mystery each. I mean, there were 36 mysteries total and poor Mallory was out of sight after the third one! Hers was one of my favorites, too.

Yeah, I really like any book that mentions Uncle Joe. My grandmother has Alzheimer's and has for a very long time, and there really aren't a lot of books for kids that deal with it. You'd think there would be, but there aren't.

Uncle Joe seemed like a sweet guy, I felt bad for him, or anybody that has to go through that, it must be awful.

Reading Jessi and the Dance School Phantom and can't understand why this wasn't one of the mystery series. It is even longer and definitely meets all of the qualifications. I am enjoying it as a mystery, though, even though its part of the regular series.
