I picked up a frightening amount of tidbits from the BSC, including the origin of igneous and metamorphic rocks, what lox and filet mignon were, pig Latin, the name Rasputin, the plie... the list goes on!

I learned that spinning an egg can help you determine if it's hard boiled or raw. (Side note: I don't actually notice much of a difference when I spin eggs...)

^I think some of the vocab words they used actually appeared on my own vocab lists in high school.

I remember using some of the vocabulary they used in the books when I was younger and my mom was like " Where did you learn that word".

In keepping with grammar/vocabulary learning, I learned from Janine that the proper way to say "you and me went to the mall" is "you "you and I went to the mall."

I memorized biological classification from #101 Claudia Kishi, Middle School Dropout when I was 9. Kindly Pass Claudia Oreos, For Goodness' Sake. That did help a lot on a 7th grade science test.
