I love the idea of regular books narrated by Shannon! I could see a plot of her trying to balance her BSC duties with all the other activities in her life. She could get into a fight with Kristy over it but they end up making up.
I would also like to see a plot where she runs into Janine at the Kishi house and they develop a friendship. I'm not really sure where it would go from there though.

Anna, Shannon and Janine all could be friends. Maybe not when they're in middle school and high school, but as adults I could certainly see them being good friends.

Can I use that idea in a fan fic? It wouldn't be a major plot but something mentioned in passing.,

Old thread, but I'm stuck at home sick and just obsessing over the BSC lol.
It's hard for me to come up with good Shannon plots... she isn't a favorite of mine. But I think she deserved more books nonetheless. I think she needed at least 2 more books. I'll throw out some ideas.
1. A family-oriented book. Maybe Mrs. Kilbourne decides they need to spend more time together, so they do, and the connection just isn't there. I would kind of prefer this to have a bittersweet ending, like they still spend more time together, but Shannon realizes she's not that close to either of her parents. Subplot would be about being more involved with the BSC. A less traditional one, but there would be only a few sitting chapters. It would be interesting to see a trip to the mall or something, and see Shannon interact with the BSC. She has a lot in common with Stacey, so they can build on that.
2. A mystery that takes place at SDS. Someone is placing threatening notes in seemingly random areas, and it gets to the point where the administration has to address it after some of the threats start happening. Greer's love of drama would be entertaining, and I imagine that people would suspect Sally White because she's so weird. Subplot would be about the Hsus perhaps. I think they're BSC clients? We don't really know anything about them.
3. A book that's more focused on Shannon balancing all her activities. I know this is done in Kristy and the Sister War, but it could have been done earlier. I think it would be interesting if she decides to spend less time with the BSC, going back to an associate member, finding that her other activities suit her interests more. It would be right before Dawn comes back. And there would be some drama with Kristy, like she takes it personally (because you know she would).

It would be fun to explore Shannon balancing two sets of friends. What if both schools has a dance on the same night? Or if she started dating one of Logan's friends? Maybe her private school friends start getting irritated at how much time she spends babysitting instead of devoting time to French club or something (a la Ashley Wyeth).
