That is a good point about Mary Anne and the secret in the attic. I never thought of it that way, but it did change Mary Anne for the rest of the series in a sense.

Favorite: Claudia and the Recipe For Danger (Not for the mysterym for the descriptions of the food ) Least favorite: The Mystery At Claudia's House (booooooring! Anybody with half a brain could have figured out Janine had a new boy toy within a chapter or so)

The only one I've read is Beware, Dawn so I guess I'll go with that one.

^ That is a good one, anyway ;D I love almost all the mysteries, though.

Yeah most of them are pretty good reads even if they are stupid sometimes. A lot of them scared me when I was younger, too.

Some of them scared me when I was younger. The first super mystery scared me a lot when I was younger. I still love it to this day!

I loved Mary Anne and the Secret of the Attic. I think I also read Beware, Dawn! many years ago but I barely remember it. I have so much catching up to do!

I really do like a lot of the mysteries - can't decide on a favorite - and it totally surprised me when browsing the online communities that a lot of people aren't fans of them and/or didn't collect them along with the regular series. I love the dark-colored covers

I haven't read all of the mysteries. The ones I liked: Stacey and the Haunted Masquerade, The Mystery at Claudia's House, Jessi and the Jewel Thieves (LOL -- for the sheer ridiculousness of it), Stacey and the Fashion Victim...
I don't really care for any of Kristy's or Abby's mysteries. I also didn't like the one with Mary Anne that somehow involved Edgar Allan Poe...?

Mary Anne and the Haunted Bookstore. I thought it was a decent mystery, but I can't believe they weren't really freakin' mad at the owners of the bookstore at the end.

^ Agree about being mad. That was always one of my least favorites, probably because it seemed so long and drawn out. Just reread Mystery at the Museum and think that's one of my least favorites, too. I like the early mysteries best, I think, up until after Mystery at Claudia's House. My other favorites are Stolen Hearts and Haunted Masquerade (looking forward to rereading that one at Halloween.) ;D I'm also looking forward to rereading Fright Night for Halloween as I love the setting, though don't care all that much about the mystery.

Favorite: Stacey and the Mystery at the Mall (I like the descriptions of the mall)
Least: The Mystery at Claudia's House (ohhh this one was SO BORING, and I honestly didn't care much for the famous kid....bo-ring)
and I've never read the one with the disappearing dogs, but honestly -- the title doesn't make it sound appealing. I mean.......do dogs just suddenly disappear? wtf?

^ The dogs all around Stoneybrook start being pet napped, though they do just kind of "disappear" until people realize what is going on. Not one of my favorites, either, especially since I don't like dogs. ;D

I liked Haunted Bookstore, but agree that the ending is so blah. They were just like "Oh...you did it? Well, okay," the end. Hmph.
