In case you didn't know, you can buy the cover paintings from the books for 500$ from Hodges Soileau. I would love to do this one day--you know, when I have an extra 500$ lying around.
If you were going to buy one, which would you choose? My first thought was Baby-sitters Remember, but one of my LJ friends bought it. I think I would get the Complete Guide cover, because I run the wiki, which I intended as a complete version of the CG. So it feels really personal and right for my relationship with the BSC. Plus they're in 90s clothes there, which I identify more with than the 80s one.
Ann has KGI hanging up in her house, so I guess that's out too.

It would be so awesome to own one of these. Do you know if there's a way to find out which ones are available to buy?
Let's see, the one I would pick...I've professed my love a few times for the cover of M#2 Beware Dawn, because they made the mood genuinely creepy, so maybe that one.
Other ones that I would like: -#9 The Ghost at Dawn's House - also captures the creepy mood well; this is the book that made me start reading the BSC because the cover made the book look so good -SM#1 Baby-sitters' Haunted Houses - my favorite BSC book -one of the Super Specials that feature the whole gang

BSC in the USA. All of the sitters look nice on the cover.

I had a reversible poster of Sea City, Here We Come on one side and the Complete Guide on the other (from Scholastic). So I would probably get one of those for nostalgic reasons. Also, CG picture has all main sitters (incluing Abby and Dawn) - if you want to go that angle.
I also like Winter Vacation but a lot of them look creepy on the cover so I may not want it (it may look different in a larger format but I remember Jessi, specifically, looks like she wants to kill someone with her snowball).
I would want Mary Anne vs. Logan (I think it's a nice cover).

He has a website/blog. There are a few that are at some gallery in Houston and you'd buy from there, but I think most can just be arranged privately. But yeah, if you're serious about it, just email him. hodgessoileau.com/blog/?page_id=339 He has a form here. I just wrote to him about the CG cover, haha. (DIBS YOU GUYS )

A summer super special cover would be fun, like Sea City or Shadow Lake. For a regular series book, maybe Stacey's Choice.

500$ for a cover art!? I would pick Mary Anne Saves The Day! since it is my personal favourite book of the entire series.

I think it'd be kinda funny to have a really hideous one. Cause it's just the picture, right? It wouldn't say Baby-Sitters Club anywhere. You would just have this painting of random ugly girls. Greer, you said one of your friends actually bought one?! Do you know how big they are?

They look to be about 1 square meter or maybe a little smaller.

I think Snowbound is my favorite of all the covers. I blame it on living in Florida. I'm not sure that one is a Hodges cover - but that is definitely the one I'd choose.
