The parents might get mad enough to disown them though, or at least ground them or something.
What if the Lowell children start to resent their mom training them to be hateful to those of a different ethnicity and they lash out?

The parents might get mad enough to disown them though, or at least ground them or something. The BSC's parents are open-minded enough not to disown or reject their daughters. Sure, some of them might be a bit upset at first, but generally the BSC's parents are warm, loving and supportive. As to some of the other parents, it would remain to be seen. Logan's dad seems cold to me, so I can see him disowning any of his kids if they had an unplanned, non-marital pregnancy. What if the Lowell children start to resent their mom training them to be hateful to those of a different ethnicity and they lash out? That I can definitely see...I hope that did happen...it would serve the hateful Lowell parents right if their kids rebelled.

What if the series only had four books as it was originally planned?

It would seem a big shame that a whole school year had been sped through in just four books, with no book from the just-introduced Dawn, and that there had been a big fight in both the first and last book and especially that we didn't get to see more of Elizabeth's relationship with Watson or Kristy's with Karen and Andrew or of the bolder Mary Anne and less-strict Richard.

I never knew it was only supposed to last four books! Book 4 would have been a huge bummer to go out on, so I'm happy they kept it going.

What if the plot device about Stacey’s dad embezzling money and going to jail actually happened?

That was actually supposed to be Stacey’s dilemma instead of her having diabetes. By dilemma, I mean Kristy’s dad walking out of her family, Mary Anne’s dead mom and strict dad, and Claudia’s dumbness.

Kind of an opposite of Kristy's story going from poor to rich. Stacey and her mom could have moved to Stoneybrook because they couldn't afford to live in NYC anymore. Then around book 100 her dad could have been released from prison, and she'd have a re-adjustment period of him being in her life. Boom. I just re-wrote the series.

That would’ve been so much more interesting! Some of the plot events they came up with in the 100+ books could be sooo boring.

What if Claudia called her parents out on their ruling against junk food and Nancy Drew books? Like with the latter, point out at least she is reading something age appropriate and with the former, pointing out they need to have healthier options available, that their own diets are not Dawn-esque, either?

^I think about the Nancy Drew books, her parents would just act sad and exasperated, say they were sad that she wasn't challenging herself and if she did she could be successful like Janine and they already try so hard to motivate her.

What if Claudia's issues with her parents' rules caused her to be a rebel and shut them out completely?
